Part of me does wish for a form of 'photogenic' slider which can be improved with things like makeup. As it stands it is impossible to roleplay a below average person in the beginning as from the outset your pc is approached, complemented, propositioned and crushed on in a way that is unrealistic for many (hint, hint, me). This also limits the arc of the gameplay as there's less room for improvement. While the main focus appears to be corruption in a way and the customization a way of visualising the effects of that, it also, along with sliders like weight and fitness, alludes to a level of attractiveness. Yes there are preferences, and one can wear nerdy clothes to be considered a nerd, but there is also some objectivity to appearance. When I wear nice clothes or get a new haircut I'm not suddenly approached at parties and asked for sex, and again, self reporting, this completely takes me out of the mindsets of about half the characters I'd like to play. Ideally you would start innocent and unnoticed, and slowly become more outgoing and 'deviant'. This would also bring an extra element of difficulty to the attention slider. I think inclusivity goes both ways and by choosing, accidentally avoiding or not getting around yet to the unpopular lifestyle ends up taking away depth and realism. Even 'popularity' as seen with streaming could be a decent representation, affected by behaviour around campus and whether you look after yourself regardless of style (nerdy clothes can be a fashion choice so there'd need to be other roleplay differences). Thanks for reading.
