Ran into same issue. Went all the way out to menu then back in, it then triggered next time I successfully hit a hotspot drop.

weird I tried that and it didn't work yesterday but it worked today, maybe I had to restart my pc for some ungodly reason lol

the minigame is awful... so fucking repetitive and annoying. it's basically an infinite timed counter minigame, and you can't even use the spacebar/Enter.
unplayable.
and the scenes are underwhelming.
