Hi, Is there some sort of application that can scan from an image/photo or something to create a character's face/body? Sort of like you can create avatars these days from your camera of yourself, but wondered if a similar thing is yet possible to create characters in Daz in the same sort of way? Ive seen so many characters created or available in Daz that look so much like certain lets say, porn stars... there must be a way surely?

Someone should warn you that this almost never comes out looking good, but that's just my two cents. Good luck!

Nice work!

Here are some of my FaceGen chars that I moved to VAM:

All were made with FaceGen, transfered to daz as G8F (that was goal), then to blender to transfer the textures, then to VAM.

The results can be varied, it depends on the original pictures like I said. The tool is amazing thou, just get the right source pictures.

Hi,

Can you explain to me how you transfert daz to blender and then to VAM?

Testing Facegen, i've generated the *.dsf Face morph that i've copied to VAM, but i think the render can be better if the dsf is applied in DAZ and the all body transfert in VAM but i DK how..

No, you are doing it right if you go direct.

The only reason I use blender is to project the textures, because I used g8f, and the textures/uvs are different for g2f. So I used blender to do that.
