I think most people don't follow the game so close that they read posts on discord or change logs for things they can't see in the game and might not even make it into the game. For a patch that might still be years away. We check this thread once in a while, and maybe if the dev posted something on patreon.
I'm happy that the game is still being worked on and that they post about what they're working on, I mean it, but posts on discord don't really count as an update for most people. It's proof that the game isn't abandoned, if that. If this was some random game that wasn't as good as this one, especially a newer one, with this rate of playable updates everyone would consider it abandoned and it would just quietly die. Crisis Point only gets so much leeway because of the quality of content from 5+ years ago, in some parts closer to 10. I hope they eventually get around to releasing new content and finishing the game, but I'm about 50/50 if that ever happens, and even that might be optimistic cope.
