Abandoned Critical Intel processor bug, shit hit the fan !

Full story: TL;DR Intel processors - Core Solo and later - contain security bug. Workarounds already deployed for Linux, under Fast Ring for Win10, for other Windows expected this month. These workarounds hurt performance drastically - from ~0% (gaming) to 60%. Big companies with virtualization will loose ~25-33% of CPU power at 10th January.

Intel CEO sold all shares he could. AFAIK gaming performance should be unaffected. AMD is immune. Not the same bug, but related issues also caused ARM processor patches. Performance drop under Linux here:
