BTW, small crocodiles can and DO climb trees. And there is at least one report of an elephant getting pissed off at a crocodile, picking it up and lodging the reptile in a tree. (Makes me wonder just WHAT the croc did to piss the elephant off.* At least I assume it was pissed off at the croc. Maybe it just had a bad day or PTSD or something... Elephants are funny that way.)
