I got my review flaged because it had some negativ personal oppinions about the theme in general, but i want to point out this wasn´t the reason for the bad review i dont kink shame in fact i played the entire game and i had my objectiv issues pointed out too. Even a prais for trying the doomlike pseudo 3D approach in an engine thats not made for it, but while this would be enough for a tech demo it couldnt outweight the flaws i encountered.
My Main Issues:
- To make any changes in the settings i had to create the game/save/ folder structure that is typical used by renpy to store the changes.
- If you lower the sensitivity controling movement with keyboard stops working.
- Im not sure if or what the others options do since the only way to get to any form of game menu after starting a map is to complete it or close the game window and restart.
- Some events to progress through the map seem to have random delays befor the next can trigger, everything relevant is moved to another location by respawn there are walking animals and stuff but these have no interaktion with anything no event not even colision with the player.
- The Game let you move forward and backward freely but turning only in 45° degree steps what makes navigating anywhere horrible klunky and frustrating when you need to adjust back and forward multiple times to pass narrow doorframes or get realy close to someone to interact.
- The Score has an overlay that cuts it off after 999 range the score except of the 2 pixel width of the fourth digit
- Showing the bugged Scoreboard even the score has no purpose at all after a "map" the results show you a image with 3 framed stars regardless of score.
- The Prompts and the awnsers (that have implications about if the character likes/dislikes the situation) do nothing.
- If you choose to share online (the only thing that actualy changes something) you get displayed random comments as overlays that have nothing to do with the situation. like some BBC comment while your wife is banged by just your WHITE boss.
- The images that you take (what you can share ingame) and are realy hard to get a "good" shot because of the controls do nothing the results are the same even if you just make an image of a nearby wall also the 5 slots you can store them to have no purpose for all i know.
- But the absolute worste "gameplay"-issue, imao. is during the safari map where you get tasked by the tribechief to prove yourself by catch/touching his lion pet while your wife is assisting you by getting fucked (obviously) by the tribe. The lion gets just despawned as soon dialog is done and the player character taunts you even more by thinking about if he should try to catch the lion or maybe he could just watch his wife... the lion will first respawn at the same spot he despawned after the tribe is done.
- The Visual Novel in the name is clearly a far stretch as is the 3D since there is no 3D grafik or movement (not even looking) the aicg i feel is a bit of a bait to because if their was any it could be only some of the enviromental objects (stuff like a image of a toolbox that got included in the wall texture)
Overall this was the objectiv parts which i feel are valid points to give a low rating my initial part about the theme/kink was not as offense i just feel its oversaturated and has overall very little variety on its approach but that can be something positive if that is what your looking for. But all the implied player agency and pseudo game mechanics have such a Nightly build feel that make it look like someones half hearthedly project that he stoped to care about right away.
That someone thought i rated it with 1 star because its not my favorite kink honestly hurt my feelings a bit (the reason i had to get this out) since there is so much else that would make me dislike it even more if it had a theme i actualy liked.
