Unfortunately, I must qualify my 5 star ratings, since I averaged the quality of each chapter, I ended up with around 4.5, which I then rounded up.
Chapter 1 - 5 stars
Chapter 2 - 5 stars
Chapter 3 - 4.5 Stars
Chapter 4 - 3.5 Stars
Average - 4.5 Stars
I opted to round up because truly I think this is one of the highest quality games of its kind out there, and I will go through each chapter to qualify them.
Chapter 1 - A solid game, lots of content, the art wasn't the best in the world, but it was fun to play, the even tracker was easy to use, and it just kept getting more and more interesting as the game went one. There were of course some problems, but nothing that I would be willing to complain about.
Chapter 2 - Probably the best chapter in this game, the art is the same in this chapter as the next 2 chapters, meaning its high quality, a solid upgrade, the event tracker is easier to use, and the game was definitely building up. I like that the events are now sticky so that you can put them on the main screen and thus make them easier to follow. This game is massive so the walkthrough its a godsend.
Chapter 3 - I was kind of mad from the start that the first thing I had to do was to redo everything that I did in chapter 2, but it was nice that they started to sort the event lists. Unfortunately there is a big error in the bottom of the event screen right from the start that no one seems to want to bother to take care of, but moving past that it is still a really fun game, just not exactly an improvement over the last one. I would say they took a slight step back on this one, but nothing too major.
Chapter 4 - A huge step backwards, maybe that's just because it is still in development, or maybe they just decided on a different vision, but this games quality is much lower than its prequels. These games are kind of grindy by nature, just due to the massive amount of content, but I would have to say this chapter brought that to a new level. The amount of contracts you have to do to get all of the content is just ridiculous, if you spent a full 4 or 5 in game days per contract, it would take you about 95 in game days to get all of the content to Sophie, and that's if you do nothing else, and to be honest I think that is a low estimate. The Pole Position quest is bugged, I tried probably 15 times to get the 3rd star, different times, days, waited, different levels of affection, no luck, which is really disappointing because it leads into another event that I will now just never get to unlock. The event tracker is no longer sorted by person, its sorted by incomplete, not started, and complete, which I think was a poor decision on their part because one of the easiest ways to get through each girl was to focus on their events, now there is a little more work involved. There is still a lot of content, and I am sure they will add more, but without some major changes I would say this is easily the worst one in the series.
On a whole I really do enjoy this series, the art is really good, the progression is exciting, I would recommend it to anyone who is into these types of games. Chapter 4 is the only one that I don't like, but the issues I have with it are not issues that cannot be fixed, I think there needs to be some rebalancing done with the amount of grinding required, and some of the events need to be fixed so that they aren't ruined by RNG, I did run into this issue multiple times, but all of the other ones I was able to eventually get through them, the Pole Progression is just completely bugged and impassible.
I wanted to give this game 5 stars because if you played 40 hours of a game, and the last 5 weren't that good I would say the game was good enough to entertain you for at least 35 hours, which is far and above what most other games manage to do.
Awesome game, Chapter 2 is the best, I think chapter 4 can be fixed, I look forward to trying it again after a couple of updates.
