Cursor lag in RenPy menus

Hey, bit of a long shot but maybe someone had encountered this problem. I recently changed graphics card and since then, every time i play a renpy game the cursor lags like crazy in the menus. This only happens in full screen mode. From the little investigation i could do, it seems like that the GPU goes into sleep mode when the FPS is extremely low due to static images being displayed maybe. I have also noticed the same cursor lag in some DOTA2 loading/switching screens.

If anyone has any idea on how i could fix it, please dont hold back :)

Try pressing Shift+G in-game and changing the framerate, then restarting game.
Setting it to 60 fixed it, thanks. Bit weird as before it was set to "Screen" and i have the screen set to 144Hz, however, it is a GSYNC monitor.

Edit: in both versions the FPS in the menu goes down to 5 when im not moving the mouse and only goes up to around 30 when i do, so not sure what actually makes it better.

in case anyone is wondering, ive run into a similar problem with a new GPU and the solution is actually to turn off power saving in the Shift+G menu

Thank you, I had the same issue as the OP and can confirm that turning off power saving fixes the "cursor-lag".

I was initially thinking it to be an issue with DPC Latency as that can at times affect laggy mouse movements... but yeah what you suggested with power saving needing to be switched off makes sense.... :sneaky:
