Probably a hot take but I’m just gonna be be brutally honest I don't really care that much about the gameplay and especially the lore being top tier when H side of this game came out so under baked when it’s arguably the most important part of ya know an H game
Another user stated that the full game has around 31 animations only about 3-4 being straight up H-scenes without any guro involved so we only got like 1 maybe 2 new scenes since the last demo in the entire game for people like myself who don’t like guro that's so fucking disappointing
I think it genuinely begs the question why did they even bother with the H side of this like at all if it was going to get such a minuscule amount of effort put into it all I can say now is I hope the maybe 2 scenes we got are super fucking hot cause I’m really contemplating if this game is even worth playing now after being really excited for it originally
Well, brother, that's easily explained, and it's... in fact, why explain it? I'll give an example: "Look at FATE or, more famously, FGO."
Since its creator didn't have a lot of resources at his disposal in that time, and it's very difficult to attract attention in a country (Japan) where everyone wants to be the next Toriyama or Oda (One Piece), many opt for the easiest solution: releasing products that contain H content (more or less, depending on their true objective) and can become better known.
All so that if a miraculous event happens and you win the lottery, your IP can become a legacy, as happened with Fate, which, although it no longer needs to play with H, as that's where its origin came from, from what I understand, the main author and owner of Fate, Natsu, stipulated that all products must either play with H (eroticism), like FGO / Fate Magica Girl, or contain some H content as such (like some of the main products that followed the original Fate).
Or, as often happens, the author hates the source of their popularity and removes all traces of the H from their work so everyone forgets that's where it all began.
Or, as happened with ToroToro Resistance, they embrace the H and turn the product into an encyclopedia of all fetishes, but to this day it boasts not only the most complete and clean story I've ever seen, but it also answers all the questions and plot holes, and even takes the time, both in the original work and in its sequel that completes the universe, to give you an ending in both installments that literally says "the ending is whatever you want, my king, from minute 1." And because of how the story was told and the elements of the world itself, it's completely consistent with the world. Yes... I'm talking about the legacy of Monster Girl Quest and the Paradox saga.
But back to the topic of the thread...
The same thing could have happened here: the developer, unable to fully tell the "story" he, she or they wanted because it wouldn't shine, added the elements he, she or they liked most to their work to make it reach more people. In this case, we can see that their tastes range are 3/10 H, 4/10 Gore, and 3/10 History.
This is why i respect and are fairly affectionate to "Program Crackers" (i can only come up with this word for such people who do this. Correct me if there is a better terminology for them). They make games with dubious if not worrying DRM or other terrible stuff, playable in a safe and stable manner.
Not every game with DRM get cracked, sadly. Denuvo tends to get off from getting cracked to oblivion.
Glad it took such a short notice for Cyan Brain. Despite the disappointment for the content...
Thank you all who helped with the DRM nonsense with this game! Truly!
And don't forget it was the first game, it's really difficult to be that good from the start
In fact, the DRM thing isn't that surprising, as it's starting to become more common to see. Now that with AI, anyone can make products like the ones flooding DLsite, they'll start adding this or other types of quality seals to "separate" themselves from them or from copies of copies, so that the games, and therefore the work behind them, can generate income for a while.
In this case, the game wasn't very complex, which is why it's not that difficult to crack (don't get me wrong, all cracking/ edit thing from the core of the thing you want is a complex job and requires knowledge of what you're doing to avoid causing an even bigger problem for both sides. However, depending on the weight and complexity of the protected content, the time it takes will vary. There's a reason why Persona games, despite being on the market for years, don´t have yet a crack). However, we can only hope that the developers in future projects are more friendly or make enough money to no longer need to use DRM or worse things. But as another comment I attached mentions, it is his first job, yes, so... the good stuff starts now if he manages to have a good income and, above all, motivation for the next job.
