This shit is so ass. Combat is slow, yet erratic at the same time. Tutorial level drags on forever, spamming same 3 enemies at you.

And to top it all off, a nasty bug that essentially turns the game into a true roguelike without saves. Whenever you die, or exit to main menu, the game spawns you outside of the level, where you either fall to death or wander around out of bounds. And if you fall and die or try exiting to menu, it just spawns you out of bounds again.

This game is fascinating, because there are stretches of the game where I think the Dev has a better understanding of timing, pacing, environmental storytelling and buildup than about 95% of game devs (e.g. the movement through the base where you see the fuckoff hueg portal in the background and so much of the map involves kind of moving around it, or the sideways rain section) ... only then to not have any payoff.

And of course you have to blast through wave after wave of enemies who on hard, are really only more dangerous because they just eat more shots.

Like, I think in terms of how to set up payoffs and what story to tell, the Dev is really only one good editor away from some fantastic storytelling. The editor's job mostly being to hit them with a stick when there's no payoff, or when sections go on too long (to be fair this might just be the combat; but even the music ends before the combat does). But because the combat takes so long (too many enemies, too slow to kill), and because your regeneration is fairly slow if you want to play around it, the areas where the pacing would be perfect for a faster game just kind of don't work.

Or again with the base example, it doesn't really feel like there's a payoff despite how great the portal serves as a background environmental piece and theme. Just a bizzare game to play and experience. So much attention to detail and care in the right places undone by some rookie mistakes on pacing/combat/time to kill, and the occasional "you gunna finish this buildup now or what?".

, and how there's this unique type of game (which I would say Cyanbrain fits right into) of the game itself isn't great (although I'd say it's good), and yet somehow it is exactly the story I think the dev wanted to tell, and 80% of the experience there, undone by 2-5 consistent gameplay/pacing mistakes that undercut the rest.

I have no idea if I'm ever going to play this game again, but I will be thinking about it for a while yet.

Anybody got the demo version with more of the H-scene that were removed? i'm curious on the animation and not the gory stuff

I'm pretty disappointed. I'm in the majority that aren't into the Goru stuff and apparently, some of the Ero stuff was removed from the full release which is a shame. Also, it would've been nice if the dev had a sign to show you can animation in the gallery was either Ero, Goru or both (Night of Revenge adds a blood symbol over an animation to show that it was an execution and not Ero etc.)

I have discovered that in level 3 there are some save points which are outside of saferooms, and that they work just fine.
The save-breaking bug must be happening because the saferoom coordinates are messing with the spawn point coordinates, which then cascades into spawning you out of bounds with infinite money and zero ammo.
So far I'm in the process of beating level four. Wish there were save stations outside of saferooms in more levels than only the third one.

Anyone know if the 1.1.2 version fixes any of the bigger issues eg the spawning outside the level bug or not? Seems like it's probably the final version this game will get.

The second pistol is in the level where you first encounter those floating virus things, I believe it's to the left just before you first see them; you drop down from somewhere and there's a path left with signs saying "danger this way" and those spider-mech enemies. IIRC.
The new melee is in that factory area, with all the girls on conveyor hooks in the background; it's behind an obstacle in one of the side-rooms, can't remember which door you gotta go through to reach it, but there's only so many to try.
The energy guns, there's one in a side-room in each of the branching paths in the last(?) level.

it's not true. People only got baited into being interested in the game cuz the demo had more H scenes than guro ones. By the time of the full release the game had more guro scenes than H scenes.

Which, yea is pretty annoying but, they didn't remove anything that was in the demos

There are 2 ways to install cheat table. BeInEx plugin or Cheat table.
BeInEx step first:
1. download the necessary files/folders (the BeInEx folder and the cheat plugin)
2. extract the contents of the BeInEx Folder into where the Game .exe file (example: Downloads\CyanBrain\CyanBrain) is
3. Run the game
4. close the game. If you did it right, there should be BepInEx folder where the game directory is 1763942353692.png
(Image is an example from a different game, don't worry about the NPC and CustomMissions folder as CyanBrain wont have this)
5. Go into the BepInEx folder and there should be an additional folder called plugins
6. place the .dll file cheat you downloaded before and then run the game. If done correctly, there should be a transparent box top left which should you the cheats and the key to activate it

Cheat engine way:
1. Download cheat engine off their official site
2. install and run the program.
3. when program opens, you'll see these 3 icons at the top left

1st icon is the find the process of the game. Easiest way is to go into task manager and if the game is running you can see which one is right

(Again using another game for example but the game process would be SecretFlasherManaka)

As you can see, I would choose that process and press open.

4. Once you've opened the process, you will then need to open the cheats, press the second option (the one with the file opening) and you'll then be directed to find the cheat .CT file you downloaded.
5. if done correctly, at the bottom will be some tick boxes you can tick to activate said cheats. Some might also allow you to change the value of something like speed or health but i'm not sure if the Cyan Brain once has that
