Why is this here in the games forum?
It's not a game. According to his patreon page it was never meant to be and never will be:
"Also, at some point in the future, the story of Ariel and Layla will be told. But not playable. Videos and 3d scenes with interactive cameras only. "

Shouldn't this be in the videos forum?

Do you press any kind of buttons or anything in the "game"? If you interact with a UI of any sort I would classify that as a game. It's as much of a game as visual novels are at least if it has buttons to press.

That's just it. There is no "protagonist". You're merely watching a set scene and have control over the camera angles.

You can call that whatever you want, but it's not a game.

Ahhhh I see. Still that makes it interactive to a degree, which makes it hard to classify. I mean the word for word definition of a video game is "A game played by electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program on a television screen or other display screen.".
