do something and leave is better than do nothing at all :sneaky:
Not really. People might like the game/s and have expectations, most likely they will want to finish it. Is like you wanting to buy a car, but the dealership will sell you only the tires. What's the point to have the tires if you don't have the whole car ?

I think it's more like taking an unfamiliar seed and hoping it will grow bananas. There's no guarantee they will grow at all, and there's no guarantee they'll be bananas. Still, you can hope.

Whilst i agree than having a project achieve a form of completion is always the better alternative, that is not among the options presented in the message you quoted.

Since we cannot (and shouldn’t) force someone to pick up a project they abandoned, the options are :
1 – Have the dev start a new project
2 – Have the dev do nothing

I, personally, prefer the first option. Worst case scenario, we get another abandoned game. Not the first, not the last. Best case, we get a completed game. And, as a middle ground alternative, we could have an abandonned game that inspires someone else to start something else, or pick up where the old dev left off, like we’ve seen with corrupted town, for example.

I agree to an extent if its a hobby dev but when you have an active subscription page and accept donations there is more of an expectation things won't get abandoned.

Well, you waste your first accout message for me to say this, so - yeah. I will try (y)

As I've said many times, Boosty is only for support, like if someone likes my work and wants to say "thank you".

So if someone wants to invest in a successful project, they should consider investing in stocks of a chair company (I think people will always need something to sit on ).

Unfortunately, as a developer, I'm really not very reliable, as I work out of passion, so no one should consider me as an investment prospect o_O

You are an artiste rather than a grinder, do what you want, when you want. If you decide to go down an other road in six months, so be it. Good luck.

"For now you stuck with two saved girls in house and you need to find a way to protect them too. So-o-o... is gonna be kinda busy."

...Somehow I'm not too positive on how the writing quality of this game is going to turn out. :KEK:

Thanks to Player-Watch - I drop another little bugfix for the game (one scene was blocked by another and it fixed now).

After giving this a play last night, I am excited at the prospect, though its very much a 0.1
You are mixing Damned Road and Damned City 1, which I like a lot

As with both of those games, there is always forever potential. Maybe get a car, visit gangs- the prison in Damned Road and how you can 'give' your girls to gangs was by far the best. In Damned City 1, the idea of "losing" your sister to the gangs or finding women in distress- it was brilliant.
We just need more of that.
We just need more gang-related and 'loss' situations. When you focus on that content, its by far the best.

For me I really enjoyed the competitive aspect of damned road where you have to live with another male and beat (or lose) to them. Just some food for though since the game is still super early in development, but maybe when we find our family we could need to compete (or join arms) with our father for the girls?
