Others - Dandy Boy Adventures [Halloween 2023 Special] [DandyBoyOni]

One of the few really unique games on the website that feels as polished as a game made by a Japanese dev company(ya know, the ones that fill up the COMPLETED section of the website and aren't half assed Daz3d model games that are incomplete). The game itself has all custom made pixel art and is even ran on SkullgearOni's own made engine.

As of the 0.03 update which at the time is the latest update of the game, shows lots of promise with already a cast of over 15 characters already being put into place and with 9 of those having erotic scenes and 5 of them having hands on erotic scenes shows some major promise from the game for the future. The game also contains some animated scenes already and that's another huge plus for a custom made game only in their 3rd official release. As for the art, the screenshots speak for themselves, the pixel graphics can range from somewhat simple to interestingly detail oriented but overall I believe the choice of color scheme throughout the game is done sooo well. The current amount of playtime is about 2+ hours depending on how quick you can do the many quests given in the game already and how much you actually want to explore the world a little and interact with every little part of the custom made pixel map as well.

Out of all the games I've played on the site this is an easy top 3 in my opinion and if the dev is able to keep up the pace of updates and amount of content then it can easily get my number 1 spot above others. I hope this "diamond in the rough" game is given more recognition between the members since I know the "others" tag can be a turn off to a lot of people but this is a game that's custom made that is done RIGHT.

I'll enjoy seeing this game eventually get the recognition it deserves and being put up the charts of the all time most liked games here, hopefully the devs can withstand being given such little money for a two man team for just a little longer! The potential of this game is getting my 5 stars and my ONLY review on this website since day 1 of its creation.

I've just played through the game, ran through most of the content. Overall I'd give it 2~3/5. since there's no .5 stars leaving it as 3. It's not a terrible game, far from it, and has a lot of room to improve but...

I have a sort of checklist for games. Nothing long, just three criteria:
1) Doesn't drag on (whether from need to grind, travel, unskippable text, etc.)
2) Has good porn
3) Has an interesting story

If a game has two of these I tend to consider it good. So even if it drags, as long as it has great porn and an interesting story I'll still play. If the porn isn't great but the story is and it doesn't drag much, will play. If the story is crap but the porn is decent and it doesn't drag much? play.

Sadly, I can't say Dandy Boy excels in any of the criteria
The story? Mostly isn't there yet, and what we have isn't all that interesting.
The porn? Mediocre, and highly limited. It being action 2D instead of more Daz is nice, but the artstyle doesn't make up for mostly meager pickings and lack of anything particularly hot.
Finally, the game very much drags between travel, searching, and minigames (albeit they were only necessary all of 2(?) times). To an extent the creator has to have noticed some of this given the bus stations acting as a form of fasttravel within town, but it's still a drag.

tldr; game isn't terrible but isn't good yet either.

Since I'm a big fan and supporter from v0.01 till now I think it's only fair to give this game a little review^^

I'm a big fan of retro and pixel games.
So this game rly catched my eyes.
The artwork is just awesome.
Every character has their own personality.
There will be a char for everyone^^
I like the quest system and the little mini games.
There are even collectables to catch... Rly like that.
The devs are pretty active to the game.
Bugs are getting fixed in a short time.
They are even active with the little community.
Suggestions, bug reports... They taking it very serious.
And they have time for a little small talk^^
Overall I just can't wait for future updates and more content to be come.

This is 1 of the best retro game that I've ever played with! It's got some good selections like:
-Pixels graphics
-Living in the late 80's
-Forming/Rekindle relationships
-Nice dating sim games
-Good puzzles
-Sexy scenes (Depends on choices)
-And many more!!!

This game is very unique both in terms of gameplay and art-style. The art is beautiful and I love how colourful it is, and the characters look fantastic, my favourite is the little sister Amy but all are great. Story is very standard for this type of game, and you do different quests, there is some stats grinding, which I am not a big fan of, but as long as you get content kind of often it's well-paced except for when you run out of that, then it can get a bit too grindy.

The mini-games are very well-made but can be very grindy, and you get very little from doing them, I think they are a bit imbalanced at the moment, I did not enjoy doing them more than once.

Overall an amazing and very unique game, that is really pleasant and relaxing to play, best parts are the art, characters and the setting. 9/10 from me.

Dandy Boy Adventures - a game that will capture you with its unique art style - high detailed pixel art, which manages to be modern in quality and still capture that retro feel. By the time your eyes get used to the beauty of the design(spoiler - never), your heart will have already been captured by the cast of quirky and lovable characters who you will meet all around the town. As of v0.02 there is more than an hour of content already in the game, which includes quests, sidequests and events with different characters. But don't just take my word for it. Download the game and find out what you've been missing on this whole time!

Very ambitious game, with a nice engine (a real game, not so common) and andsome graphic style. Ambience is great, characters various and interesting, lewd stuff is good too, so far.
And, with his second uptade, the game is surprisingly already very dense. So, huge fan at this point !

I have high expectations about this game.I love that artstyle.Also it has tons of characters with different parameters.Worth trying I can tell you that.It has some bugs game can crash but it is alpha can't wait till full version.
