Ren'Py - Dark Magic [v0.19.0] [F. Lord]

Highly entertaining and one of my favorites. For those that are interested, but not familiar with the style - this is a mega-harem and corruption type game. You will slowly (and at times not-so-slowly) bend the wills of the various characters to conform to your will.

The art style may not be for everyone (I was one of those at first) but it quickly grows on you and becomes much appreciated.

The story is pretty basic, but interesting enough to keep one's attention. The variety in sex and fetishes are enough to keep most entertained, I believe.


There is so much to this game, if you have not done so, give it a go. You can thank me later.

the model is super attractive than any games here, this is grindy but really rewarding too. The best part is you can play this for a really long time and still don't get bored about it. if you like good story + a bit grinding + hot big tits woman this is it

So many great points to game that the little flaws deserve to be overlooked.

Sure there a few errors in writing and not all renders are perfect. Sometimes things a little out of order but that is because the sandbox is so open (sometimes first meeting of characters come out of order because you meet them first in a different characters arc but it doesn't break order of story unfolding).

The story is intriguing and never quite sure exactly who are the bad guys and who are good guys and we still not met all characters and still in process of getting to know the plethora of current characters (again a lot of variety ranging from the serious to the comedic) . Each character is unique and develops in depth as you get to know them. The arcs are also varied, some you use powers on and some you have to win over other ways. Some are easy and some you really need to work to seduce.

A lot of character have the oversized boobs that I not a fan of but there's enough variety that us itty bitty titty lovers and everyone in between catered for. The animations are simple but with multiple camera angles and linking of these simple animations by menu choices into a complete scene worked really well.

There is a cheat option to avoid excessive grind though there is usually an arc that follows the money earning and skill development already to ease grind. If you don't want to use cheat I recommend using mining jst to get what you need (it takes multiple parts of day and means you miss the two periods most events happen in) until aunt arrives then get to fishing as quickly as possible (fishing only takes one period of time so can do when you would normally skip)

The interface is simple with a very handy magic notes that lets you know what arcs are active (though can be vague at times which is not a bad thing) character dialogues also let you know what to do and add a lot to story so best not to skip carelessly. You can also track the scene progress in game in your room with memory book. If you like me you might need to go to the memory book post in the forum to fill in holes but all major scenes are easy to find.

EDIT Oh and the "corruption' is unique and almost anti corruption. You don't change personalities you remove social conditioning and bolster natural desires so you actually just making them more honest with themselves and open with feelings for others (not just MC) one slight exception with methodology but result still same. The characters you would call corrupted start of that way.

The characters are fantastic, the story is a lot of fun. The sex scenes are inventive in that it isnt just a simply "oh hey MC dont mind me just looking under this bed here *insert generic doggy style scene*

There is thought put into the story arcs that are included in each update. typically 2-3 characters per. Which evolve into multiple stages of sexy fun.

I can't recommend this game enough! I hope he continues working on this game and gathers more support as this game is incredibly overlooked by a lot of people here.

Don't let the fantasy genre turn you away! There's plenty of 'family fun' to be had here, if that's what turns your crank.

Easily the most underrated Honey Select game on the site (theres quite a few good one that popped up this past year). The dev consistently pushes out large updates. The game has very little grind (it can be a bit of a hassle to get around). Most importantly the gameplay and scenarios are fun and unique. The story never overstays its welcome but still keeps you interested, striking the right balance between sex and story for a porn game. Great work!

Great history so far, the dev is very nice, so far, every single girl in the game have a really nice develop history (my love is Airi), the music is good, is not a kind of game that require you to loose time grinding for money or exp, if you have time, try it.

This review is for v0.7.0B, also it is based entirely on my personal opinion.

Great game, definitely delivers on what it promises, the amount of content present in this game is huge, much more than many finished games. I think this is a very well balanced game, as in nothing immediately sticks out like a sore thumb, writing is good, graphics/art is good, animation is good, pacing is good, no unnecessary grind, etc, but most of all it all works so well together that even some parts that may not be as good are elevated.

There are some spelling mistakes and grammatical errors here and there, but these were spread out enough that I didn’t mind them and also, it never impacted my understanding of the text and the writing overall is good enough that I don’t care.

I don’t expect a game to have writing on the level of a literary novel for it to be considered good. I don’t think the writing in this game is perfect, and there is room for improvement but I like it, and I appreciate it because it gave me what I didn’t think I would find, after playing so many other games. The worldbuilding is good, there aren’t infodumps about how specifically the world works, geography etc, which would be very unnecessary and a chore to read (at least at this point), instead you are told enough to get the basics and you get a feel for other things while playing through and discover things yourself. I didn’t feel lost at any point as if I didn’t know something important, although some things are kept secret for future updates. You don’t need any contrivances to get to sex scenes, even if there are scenes like falling on top of each other they make sense in context and are not annoying. Things make sense and flow naturally within the confines that the game sets up which helps the immersion.

I like the art and animation, I don’t mind honey select models in general though, I like the look of most characters. I especially like how the scenes are framed, I like the use of third person POV and the angles used. In many games, we are stuck in the first person POV even during sex scenes which really limits the kind of scenes that can be shown and also the enjoyment. Also, there is a nice variety of scenes with different positions, clothes, props, expressions, environments, and different girls have different types of scenes so that it doesn’t feel like we are repeating the same scenes with each girl.

There are many parts of this game that individually I might find annoying in many other games but here they are executed well. Like, being the only guy in the world, mind control, everyone falling for the MC, harem, etc. The annoying thing about being the only guy in the world is that many games do it but it’s not a part of the setting, the developers just don’t bother showing other guys and the girls conveniently just don’t have any other guys worth banging in their lives even though their standards are super low given the type of MCs in most games. This being a fantasy world gives more freedom with the setting, and I honestly like the way it is presented ingame, we don’t know the reason but it is just how it is and it shows in various areas of worldbuilding. It’s not like I don’t like Harem type games, I just want it to be done in a realistic way which allows me to immerse in the world more fully.

I like how mind control is handled, in the beginning it seems like the MC himself is the target of mind control which sets him on this path which I like. The MC does not come off as evil even though he uses mind control, I guess it is helped by the fact that this is a different world with different moral standards and MC is in uncharted territory so it is easier to suspend disbelief. And the mind control does not make people mindless slaves, just increases their desires (as far as I’ve seen) and it’s believable that most desire him (due to being the only male and with good stats), most just desire him for sex and are not actually in love, and it is easy to see who is and who is not in love. The mind control and its effects are addressed within the game which I also Like.

I love the harem aspect in this game, as it is going towards an actual harem (I guess it already is). In most VN type games you are just mostly going behind every girl's back and telling each one you love them and each of their storylines is for the most part separate which is unrealistic and annoying, and for me takes away any enjoyment of it being a harem. You might get a threesome here and there due to some contrivances. But here the characters actually talk to each other, they are in the same world, and their relationships are acknowledged and there are many group scenes of various varieties which I love. Most major games lack good group scenes.


Can’t think of any big negatives and the review is getting pretty long so I’ll put some thoughts on the characters and what I would like to see in future releases in spoiler tags.

Great game! I found myself yearning for an in-game WT but then, lo and behold I found it haha. Not to mention more or less if you sleep you'll find things. I did find that getting to events with the queen and princess were VERY challenging sometimes though, but hey, I wouldn't have tried so hard if it wasn't worth it every time.

Honestly really cute storytelling and lore too, all things considered. I know some might find it odd, or cheesy at times, but it all definitely comes together to make something unique and enjoyable!

Having played some great games already from this awesome site, I decided to post my first review which is for v0.7.0B.
I rated this game 5 stars because of the ease of play, the art which is right up my street, the characters and the story line.
1/ Ease of play. I'm an old fart who has no idea about the technical side of game development but I have found that this game was relatively easy to navigate despite the grind sometimes needed to achieve certain rewards. I see people asking about the walkthrough. I d/l the walkthrough, had a cursory glance and got on with the game. To me it's fairly linear and the hints provided are really all you need. Common sense is sometimes not so common.
2/ I love the art style. Don't ask me what it's called but it beats the standard art in so many of the games we see on here.
3/ The characters just seem to fit the storyline which is also very good. The writing is relatively amateurish but taking into account that English is not the first language of the Dev, that can be overlooked. It is still very easy to follow.
All in all, an excellent game and I hope to see plenty more updates before this story is finished.

Insane ammount of content and even thought not every single girl currently in the game has "a lot of content" it's still hours of great gameplay that I actually enjoy. Also should probably mention that every single update brings in significant ammount of content so it seems like developer is not just milking his patreons and is actually in it for the game which is getting more and more rare these days.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v.0.6.0B...

This VN/Game follows the typical Corruption grind pattern of game play but not always directly, which was a slight twist on how you normally see corruption grinders play out... And it definitely has Incest...

The visuals of this VN/Game are typical of what you see in other 3D characters and animations using imaging software like Honey Select... A majority of the characters are unique looking with just a few that are extremely similar... You do get the notion that the authors are highly into big breasted women as a majority of the female characters are well endowed, if not overly well endowed, with only a small handful of naturally and/or normal sized breasts for their body frames... I found the take on Orcs to be rather hilarious, as they are basically just green skinned humans, sort of in the vain of Orion women from Star Trek, hehe... The backdrops are a mix of unique backgrounds and some I've seen before in other VN/Games... I love the use of cut scenes to drive the main story along now and then... The overall theme appears to be a mix of old fantasy and modern... You have your old looking farming town with stone streets, taverns and so forth, even a castle... But then some rooms are filled with more modern tech, like electricity based lamps and so forth (mostly inside the castle, as though only royalty can really afford the more modern tech)… Of course that may not have been intentional, but it's there in a tiny handful of scenes...

The script is mostly good with the occasional grammar issues (probably due to bad translation/interpretation), but still very readable and easy to understand... There is plenty of dialogue, inner monologue (from multiple character perspectives), and some story text... The navigation menu is easy to understand, being primarily pictures to choose from, with only the occasional text choice for navigation...

This VN/Game follows the story of a male protagonist in his early 20's who is just recently released from jail and returns to his family home, to live with his mother and younger sister... An aunt comes into the picture eventually, but there is barely anything you can really do to interact with her in the current content... He is one of the only remaining males left in the world, as a majority were killed off in some sort of prior war (a slightly overused theme)… Shortly after returning home the protagonist gets wisped away to a special place where a blue ghost girl and a red haired witch reside... He is given a magical ability to sexually corrupt others... So at that point the game becomes a corruption grind in a way... But not all characters can be directly corrupted... Some are corrupted through just general interactions, some are already hot for the protagonist and need no corrupting, and some are corrupted through the protagonists actions rather then magical powers... In a couple cases, those you are corrupting, can even help corrupt other characters outside of the protagonists control... It's a different take on the concept, which I feel was highly creative and maybe slightly more realistic...

Based on corruption levels and some other character stats, you can open up new scenes with various characters... Some characters have their own side story lines... The main story line is also pushed along by corruption stats, character stats, progression with various characters, a tiny amount of player choice, but primarily involves being at the right place at the right time... The game day is broken up into 6 time frames... Some events can only take place during certain times and certain locations... Typical of the grindier type games... You even have to work for coin to purchase things that help push stories along, or open up scenes...

In the beginning there are lots of things to do, places to explore, various characters to advance with... But after a bit, you suddenly hit content walls for certain characters, and yet the main story keeps trucking along... Eventually the side stuff become less and less, which for me felt like there was too much missing... Some character story lines felt unfinished and their content ended far too early... Eventually, leaving you only the main story line, which didn't always move at that fast a pace... If I had one major qualm, that would be that there are too many side characters, that at first felt meaningful and fun, and yet they ended far to early in gameplay... I don't think all the side characters needed more content, as some were just there for quick erotic jaunts, but some appeared to have fun and entertaining story lines that were kind of short lived... Especially characters like the old girlfriend, the bar keeper (aka prostitute who you corrupted by doing sexual acts, but corruption really did nothing), and the child raring MILF, along with a few others... Perhaps in the future more content will be added for them outside their occasional appearance in the main story, but the side content sort of begins teetering off too quickly with only a snails pace main story along with eventually just skipping time to see more of it...

The main story itself is fun, and eventually begins to feel like a possible growing romance along with a tiny bit of intrigue and a looming war, that most of the characters (including the protagonist) are clueless about... The intrigue and story just started becoming more complex leaving you wanting more, when the current content eventually ended... I actually am hooked on what may be possibly going on with the Red Witch, the queen and protagonist, and the future of the protagonists role in saving the kingdom...

There is a hint mechanism in the game, that tries to help you along now and then with what you need to do next to push the main story along, but it doesn't always give you hints... You will have many moments when it tells you nothing more and yet there are still side events and/or main story event things you can do... So basically keep trying various things during various times of the day... You will eventually run out of stuff to do though, as this is still a work in progress... Of the characters you can directly corrupt, not all of them will open up new content the further you keep corrupting them... I took all the actively corruptible female characters to 100% and beyond the initial 20 to maybe 40 percent mark didn't open anything new for a majority of them... The mother and sister are the only noticeable characters where high corruption opened anything new up... That doesn't stop you from actively corrupting the ones you can... Some corruption you don't actively control, as they may be tied into the main story or events you may or may not be able to trigger... But once their content wall is reached, their corruption will go no higher...

Only other gripe I had was the inclusion of a Special Christmas Event right in the middle of game play, with basically an orgy that includes all the female characters in the game thus far.... Many of which your character hasn't even met yet... Which made it feel so majorly out of place and in a way, immersion breaking... Special events, if not keeping in line with the main story, should be separate downloads in my opinion, or maybe a selection from the Main Menu, rather then being included in normal game play... It felt so majorly out of place, and completely random... There was no clue to tell you that the random socks you buy and then hang up, would even trigger the event, till it does...

Overall, I enjoyed reading and playing through this VN/Game, and beyond the sudden lack of content surrounding and keeping up with the main story, it was a sometimes hilarious, and a definite fun jaunt through this semi-fantasy erotic story, thus far... Other then the few quibbles I already mentioned, I think the developers are doing alright... There is just enough story to keep me interested, along with erotic material galore... The protagonist seems to be developing, rather then being stagnant in his personality and mannerisms, which is not always the case in these corruption grinders... It's almost like he's becoming a man with sexual desires, rather then a boy with sexual desires... There are a tiny few similarities in this VN/Game when compared to others in it's category, but enough differences and enough attention to story detail to make it feel unique and apart from the others... I look forward to seeing how this VN/Game develops, and hope to see much more content for the other characters outside of the main story line...

music: actually is preety good and catchy.

story: meh, it works.

this game is really long, a easy to play. the similitud on the "happy and playfull" characters
it could be a bad thing if you get anoying with that kind of things, but they are cute so is not that bad.

Very good story and characters, models are good, dialogue is fun to read, I just wish it was more obvious how to open the full gallery. More than often I found myself wondering "now what am i supposed to do?".

A good HONEY SELECT game with many replayable events! The character look really good and beautiful. The mind control ability is also very cool for corrupting many girl characters along with good story and medieval fantasy setting. Definitely for you who annoyed with game which focused to much in their story and neglecting the sexual contents.


Really worth to play!

I usually hate Honey Select games, but this one has a lot of potential. It's sexy and surprisingly fun, making it feel very content-rich. Story's not that original, but that's not why I play porn games haha. What matters is the quality of the renders, the scenarios introduced, and the developer's dedication to the project. I think these three elements are what make F.lord a very promising porn game developer, so keep up the good work!
