If ever there was a pantheon ripe for the porn treatment, it's that of the Blind Bard's, who are probably the horniest set of gods, demigods and mortals out there.
I read quite a bit of Greek mythology in my youth, but was unfamiliar with the initial(?) tale this game is going to tell.
Positives
+ Original art that is very charming! (reminds me of European comics)
+ Animations for the sex scenes
+ Great premise (very surprised it hasn't been done more before!)
+ Angry Greek men in the game's main thread here complaining about the skin color of the male characters in the game
Neutral
= Kind of an odd selection for the first tale to tell since it's one of the more obscure myths. (at least to me)
Negatives
- Very "tell" not "show"
To that negative point, I understand that since original art and animations take a long time to draw, the developer wants to focus more energy on the sexual content and I agree with that decision overall, but there was a lot of narration and dialog that simultaneously felt too much and too little. I think it's that the content is so dense it comes across as a wall (and, to be fair, your blood flow is devoted elsewhere from your brain) causing it to not sink in. The unfamiliar names (to most people) don't help either.
Overall, it's a decent enough demo and I'm excited to see where this goes as I like the premise and the art.
Definitely one to keep an eye on.
Note to Daves: See if you can find a way to add more art that shows what's happening and lessen the info dump a bit. I think it's OK to truncate the stories a bit and keep things to the bare essentials to keep the game moving and easy to understand.
