Hello,

I've installed theses eyelashes (folders people & data) in C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library, but when I load them, either they do nothing to my gen 3 character or I've got this error message : "An error occured while reading the file".

(in the log file :
2019-04-20 20:04:05.739 Invalid hierarchy for selected node(s) and "preset_hierarchical_material" type; no root(s) found.
2019-04-20 20:04:05.740 Error reading file, see log for more details).

Also, some default materials don't work (such as basic wear -> short), I guess I should resintall Daz but it would be nice to know what I'm missing when I manually install assets.

Make sure your gen 3 character is selected in the scene tab.

I followed the steps in this thread. It still doesn't work, thanks for the help though. I let theses eyelashes go for now and try to do others things. Still, I am interested to know if someone can make theses eyelashes work .

If you can't get it to work, post again and I'll take some folder screenshots or something.

In the first image you tried to load a morph. That doesn't work.
Your whole file structure is a bit of a mess to be honest with you and I think that's the main reason here.

There is a "content" folder in your downloaded zip file. Open it and put "People", "Runtime" and "Data" in your library which is in my case the standard "My Library" folder which you can find under \DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library then restart Daz and try again.

It should look like this:

In this example a female genesis 3 character is now saved under People/Genesis 3 Female/Characters/ in your Daz library.
If you want to install an environment you will have "Environment", "Runtime" and "Data" in your downloaded zip file. It doesn't matter just copy everything in your library I mentioned before. If you want to use a morph like BBW or bigger breasts select the character in the scene tab and search in the parameters tab for your desired morph.

If you have downloaded something and there is just a "runtime" folder inside this will be a Poser format which works also fine with Daz. Just in case you wonder someday because you can't find/use your new asset you just downloaded. Happened to me once in the beginning.

Cheers
