Daz Characters in AVNs: Why are they often the same? Is it a licensing issue or something?

Putting a new thread up because the other is old and answers are kinda lacking....

So why is it that characters are so samey? I mean, there's only so many hairstyles that look good and can be adjusted for models in different poses and I get that. But content creators are making all kinds of great looking characters, and there's always the option of combining sliders, using this skin from another character on that head slider, customizing bodies and faces with morphs, etc. I've made a shit ton of them. But I see a few of them that are repeated over and over. And a lot of them are lacking in sex appeal or are just alright. One example of this is the "landlady" in "Dreams of Desire". The exact same character is used in "The Visit".

Now I know that it is permissible to use Daz characters in 2D AVNs/games with a standard license, but you can't put them in Unreal Engine or Unity as a 3D character. That would require a license that is ridiculously expensive.

Do some creators have some kind of clause in the license that prohibits the use of their characters in pornographic material, such as an AVN? (I'm talking about characters that are obviously adults, not ones that the creator intended to be underage.)

What gives? When I play these games, a cast of characters that doesn't do it for me is a deal breaker, no matter how good the writing or game structure is. If I wouldn't get off on fucking them, the reward for making the right choice or grinding it out is lacking.

With all the work that goes into making a video game, all the photos and animations and game design, is there a reason why the devs seem lazy in their character creation? I mean, it's not a 'not my type' thing. They just didn't do the facial structure well, or didn't do the petite or voluptuous body very well, whether it's uber hip hop video model or petite 'spinner'.

I dunno. Speak to that please.
