I have some basic renpy experience as well, also looking for more projects to work on to improve my renpy skills. I don't mind working for free and collaborating with omar. I'd be working on this part time though because I have other projects I'm working on as well.

That's fair and totally reasonable if you are making the game for your enjoyment. If you want to earn from it and pay the other devs it is going to be more difficult if your tastes are unusual.
