If you shift from a 1060 to even a 2060 you will see a significant performance gain, because DAZ3d now uses IRay for rendering. I don't know any head-to-head comparisons out there, though. I switched from a 2013 AIO pc with a modest gpu(nvidia 620, maybe?), that would take me up to an hour for a simple render, to a Ryzen 3900X, 64GB RAM, a 2080 Super and an M.2 NVME SSD, and the same render only took a few minutes. So I'd expect a significant boost from 1060 to 2060/2070/2080 and even more going to a 3070/3080/3090. You probably only need a 3090 if you're trying to render 4k images. Everything else should be plenty fast enough to do a few renders per hour.
