So, I'm currently rendering in 16-9, 720, it's fast and takes about 3-4 minutes to render. But some say the renders look somewhat bad.
My question is, is switching to 16-9, ultrahigh worth it for better renders when it takes me 40 or more minutes to do the same render?
Hope I asked the right question.
In your option, is it worth the extra render time ?
I use renpy. So is that extra time worth it?
I'm the dev for Blackheart Hotel
Thanks!

Let me reprase all that.
What is the best Dimension preset for VN in renpy for good renders without spending an hour for 1 render

You want to render at 1080p not 720p, 720 will always look worse than 1080. I just use full HD for mine.

here what they are talking the little spot on the characters

it's best to make the image double the image size and then scale it down to the size that you want

there some people are against using denoiser filter but it does helps or you can adjust the max sample higher it might take longer but the longer you render the better the image will come out better then a 3 to 40 minute renders

but you do have to remember what your video card can handle

denoised, sharpened and brightness/contrast edited, if this was a high res, denoiser would of stripped a lot of detail.
save your scenes and let them render while you are afk, replace low renders with high renders

beyond that practice lighting and composition.

So I did the render in hd, the dim was something like 1900-1000, or something, but the pic is too large for renpy. It only shows the bottom corner of the render in renpy. So I changed the size in photo edit to 1280-720. Does that keep the render at hd or what. I'm so confused. Whats the point of taking 5 times longer to render for hd if I have to resize it back to 1280-720 for renply. Thanks!

Nevermind. Answered my own question. I did a render at 1920- 1000 and resized it down to 1280-720, and one in just 1280-720. Can definitely the difference. Wow

Since I'm here, Question about the renders. When I see the render in the view pointer, looks good. But when the render is done, some, not all the models have what looks like black lines thru their head. Wtf is it. and only certain models. Thanks! 34.png
