It's not opensource yet, but the newest Deepseek's V3 (0324) is absolutely killing Japanese to English from my testing. Of course, if it's like the previous version, it's a near 700b model so unless you have enough money to spend on a new car you won't ever be able to use it unless you pay the API cost from a service like Openrouter (It's actually free to use the service right now if you want to give it a test)

I just saw that huggingface inference became unusable for free accounts (100 requests per month, it once was 1k per day, I think). Oh god.

Are you sure its getting stuck or is the file just really big? You can try splitting it but I've never had to do that.

I think the amount of lines in that file affect the performance. That file is 941KB and 120504 lines (when formatted with the recommended Json formatter).
In comparison, other files are same size ~900KB but only ~30,000 lines, so they only take a couple minutes to translate with deepseek.
I'll check again tomorrow by splitting the file.

It is deepseek so is it possible its a rate limiting issue? Is the translationhistory.txt in the log folder moving?

I tail -f'd the translationhistory.txt and I see that moving.
EDIT:
It took 1h on a single thread but it's almost finished with that file. There was a ton of dialogue in that file.

What anim game are you trying to translate?
I used anim_fucker a few months ago to patch a game so if you still need help let me know, though note that it may take a while for me to get back to you since I'm pretty busy right now. Ideally, just send me the translation files and preferably a download to the game.
So I just installed translator++ and installed the dazed extension. How do i use it? I select some maps and try to send it but there is no send button? Can someone help? thanks
