I am interested in making a game. I want to make the game appealing to female players. Ladies. I want your opinion on what turns you on in an erotic game? Is it the story/script, the foreplay/teasing, characters, actual penetration, certain taboo concepts or ideas? What makes your juices flow when you play?

not a woman, but one of my female friends who plays adult games prefers romance and passion, so no harem stuff, only stuff like passionate sex with lots of smooching and hand holding, of course the actual acts of sex can be the same like creampies and facials or even threesomes and group stuff but there has to be that element
theres also a porn site made by women for women which has the same sort of idea

Interesting. What is the name of that porn site by women for women? For research purposes.

Dont know if its helpful/still relevant. But as a female player, I am more invested if there's a slow build to the sex in a game. Also, if the male characters are nice to look at (I've seen some rough fellas in some games) then it makes it all the better!

Anything audio-related is a plus for me.
I prefer playing something with a static image + good audio (voice and sound effects) over lots of animations and no voice + sound effects.

This is true! Although, I've yet to hear any games with good voice effects. If you have any, Id love to check them out!

Koga does a pretty good job with music mods for various games.

Are the great games like BADIK or COBD, Callisto, tales from unending void, Leap of faith, Dreams of reality, Retrieving the past or Intertwined up your alley?

I've only "played" a few of those games as research for a vn project.
They're somewhat up my alley, but I don't get aroused at any of the sex scenes or animations at all.
If I was making a vn that catered to women, I would try something in twine/sugarcube and add audio to it.

Haven't tried any of those, but I definitely will look into it. I'm releasing a demo this Saturday for a VN that's catered to women, and initially thought of hiring VAs for some of it, but I dont have the budget for it lol.

I definitely will check these out though, fodder for future games! :D

I'd also be curious as to how difficult it is to find a game you'd like on this site specifically. What I'm really asking is percentage of games you find appealing compared to what pops up in "recently updated" or some such. I'm guessing the vast majority appeal mostly only to men.

For me personally, its very hard for me to find a game I like on this site. My absolute favorite game that Ive found on this site is Good Girl Gone Bad, and while there were some things left to be desired, I was engaged, inspired and entertained the whole way through. That has been very rare for me to find on here as a woman though, haha.

i'll just say i think women like erotic novels more than sexual power fantasies repeating for hours and hours. Just make something flirty that escalates to sex than 'nice ass, babe. me want to fuck!' that then moves on to the next girl to say basically the same thing.

For me there's no specific thing. I like to see a big bouncin' pair of tits but I've been teased that it's because mine are flat which is true (n) just as much as I like to read a 1000 page romantic novel... well no that's a lie, romance stories tend to be far to fake for my tastes.

One of my favorite things visually to watch is real couples going at it. Not just a flat out fuck fest but all the kissing and petting etc.

I can read a story and get as turned on as I would if I was watching some hardcore pump and dump. (actually made a category for this on one of my sites, quite popular)

My chosen profession has probably skewed my perspective, or it could be that I'm just more honest and have no fucks to give about people seeing me as anything less than sugar and spice and all that shit.

Really, I think any game that's WELL WRITTEN can entice either party to play it if it's well written. Don't play on any one trope to much, don't be wishy washy, if your MC is sexist at least make it make sense. What ever happens it needs to make sense in the plot.
