Can you really miss the riverbanks of the Nile or Germanic Black Forest; if they aren't really near Rome ?

Can't think of a single game where blocking all scenes with a paywall has turned out to be a successful idea, and I doubt that this will be the exception. Easy to say from a non-dev, but I'd work on the quality of the game first (renders, upgrading from default Renpy UI, dialog) before looking for monetization avenues.

Theme of the game seems good, would like playing a good game which riffs on this. Dialog seems too long-winded, too much internal dialog. I know a lot of Japanese media does this, but mostly for cost-cutting reasons, and it doesn't help there either, once the novelty has worn off. MC switches between bashful and rapey, which might be standard for the genre, but still feels a little off here. The timed {wait} pauses in the middle of dialog are off-putting as well. I like reading at my own speed, so generally prefer the standard {w} command, which lets me load the next line when I want.

All of this is a moot point if there aren't any scenes to the general public, though. Like I said, it'd have to be a very special game for players to use Patreon as a required unlock, instead of using it for support and early access. And this game is not quite that, at the moment. Anyway, hope something changes, and we're able to experience the game as intended.
