KiriKiri is pretty easy to work with. I've translated a few KrKr games, but using my own homebrew translation scripts so they're not exactly user friendly. If you wanted to translate the game and do more than MTL I can get the text scraped for you.Quite a few of this dev's games seem right up my alley so I peeked inside and the engine is Kirikiri. Probably Kirikiri2, but this is my first time encountering it so I'm unfamiliar with the nuances. There seem to be tools available to extract and repack Kirikiri games, while mtool and Textractor seem to work if you just want to play it for yourself and don't mind pure mtl.
I'm happy to hear that KrKr games are easy to work with! I might look into it a bit more after actually finishing one of the other projects I'm working on.KiriKiri is pretty easy to work with.
