There was a bug in my playthrough. After meeting the demon during the time stop, if you go into the school before talking to the quest related people outside, you cannot go back outside or continue through the rest of the day. It will say you need to finish talking to people if you go towards the classrooms and say you cannot go back outside if you try to leave the school through the front entrance (I looked for a side or back exit - I didn't find one).

Is anyone else having a problem with 0.04 running? I get the blank screen and then, well nothing. The debug log shows:

Pretty much sounds like you will need to research the web to find your answer. Once you find the answer - share here so others know how to fix it for their phone.
My gut reaction is that the footprint of the game and the size of the graphics loading into the memory or manipulated by the graphics card is too much for certain androids. I don't know the age of your device or the specs - but perhaps there's a setting in joiplay main settings that can make things run smoother.
Based upon your username, I am assuming you are running this on a Mac. It helps if people state their operating system and version when they state they are having problems with getting products to run. Otherwise, most people will think a person is playing on Windows - the vast majority of players use that platform over any other.

Going there would have directed you to the post about the minimum requirements for MZ:
OS: Microsoft Windows® 8.1/10 (64bit)
Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Compatible OpenGL / VRAM 1GB or better
Additional Notes: 1280x768 or better Display
If you meet the minimum requirements and having this issue - make sure you have fully updated your OS, all drivers, video card, etc.
Even though you are on Windows - the Mac users, when confronted by the black screen, have reported that double-clicking on the black screen pops up a dialogue box about moving the game file. Maybe try double-clicking on the black screen will do something for Windows users, as well.
Please report back what the outcome is from your efforts - whether it works or not. That way it helps others in the future. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't had a problem with release 03 and I keep my machine updated. Double clicking on the black screen results in a single character showing in blue. Looks like a period, can't tell it's too small. What would be zipped in the release that the exe would be trying to expand?

There's a save in slot #50. Just use it and play through the new content. Then you have a full save.
Be smarter to use a modern game engine and not something which is derived from something derived from something from the 1990s. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND DEVELOPERS WHO CHOOSE RPGM OR RENPY OVER UNITY OR (GOD FORBID for this type of game) UNREAL...Wow, the criticism on the game is just. The game was leaked. The dev will hash out the bugs in the official public release. Some of the negative comments about the dev are just ludicrous from ppl who don't even follow the dev's work and just make some stupid general assumptions.

Have you coded Ren'Py, RPGM, Unity, Unreal? Do you have experience in any of them? Unity and Unreal are overkill for this kind of a game. This isn't a first-person shooter. It's not a synchronous 4v1. It's a "choose your own adventure" story with various locations that only require point and click interaction. Get in, tell the story, get out.
