Something I've been thinking over for sometime now is that the real problem with the update was that it's a two pronged issue that anyone who belongs to a certain group of fans will see the issue that bothers them.
First of all, the update was too short relative to the time between the last one, that alone is the obvious issue.
The second issue is that there are people that still want to have the family get fucked, never mind that the cousin was the first to get boned. The padding in the story does not help when people's patience is tested, especially in H-games.
When you have the first problem and then add the second, you're gonna get a clusterfuck of an update that has little payoff regarding the slow burn and people feeling robbed over it.
If Bredman made the update sooner or had a lot more content in it, or excuse the slow burn defenders, had the family finally get the rod properly people would have been happy. Understandably the animation does take quite bit of time when it's as good as it is but real issue is the over half a year gap between the last update. If an update takes that long to be released then there is issues either due to the dev being lazy, injuries, or other matters that prevents them from releasing updates consistently.
As a rule of thumb, updates should have a 1 to 4 months cycle because otherwise the time it takes to release it will make people anxious, suspicious of grifting or just forget about it.
