Ren'Py - Desert Stalker [v0.15c Public] [Zetan]

Even in its incomplete state at april 24, this is one of the best games I have been able to find in the site. It's not just fallout with sex (you can mod fallout for that), this is so much more.

The game is very ambitious, presenting very radical choices from the start. You can do some brutal things if you really want, you'll lose content though. The author seems to notice this and instead of adding different consquences for every choice, he just stops giving such radical choices.

Which, you know, it's understandable. This is not a high budget videogame, this is some guy making the stuff from home. And as such, it's outstanding.

You can expect cool renderings, interesting characters, able to evolve, a history that adapts to your liking. I really like some of the ideas, like the fact that some characters and stories change depending on how you tell them. And it feels meaningful because in some way, every possibility fits the characters even if the actions are completely different. That's because there is very clever character building here.

I recommend the game. Give it a try. But play slowly because it takes some long time to update.

I enjoyed this game very much, especially the writing which is rare in these games, and also the choice structure and how many meaningful choices you have there are few games with the same structure but in the end, I realized there are no games like this so I'll stop looking for one and just sit my ass down and wait for updates.

Make sure you know what you’re getting into! Desert Stalker can be quite bleak and gory at times, but it’s a great game if you don’t mind.

Personally, the only thing that bothers me is how young the wife/mother looks, but I’m nitpicking at this point.

Loved it. The characters look great, and the story is strong so far. I look forward to future updates. Hopefully, it continues to be a great game in the future. More forcing the younger daughter to service others would be hot.

For a game of this caliber I'm honestly surprised the devs don't have more supporters. Anyways, go play the game if you haven't already, you won't regret it.

Great models, good slow build, lots of vareity ,really shaping p to be something special

This is perhaps the best AVN I've ever played.
It does a great job with the dystopian setting and the role of our MC as a somewhat mercenary yet the struggle of power between him and the queen.
The story set in a dystopian Egypt is getting better from time to time and with (at least) three factions that seem to be at each other's throats it sure as hell won't become boring.

The women are sexy as hell and while some are a bit generic like the younger girl in our household, most of them have a great story set, i.e. Kateryna or the queen.

I don't like sandboxes that much, but this is fairly straightforward. Really cool and original setting and story, and the renders are top tier. Easily one of my top 10 favorite ero games, probably in the top 5.

Not a big fan of the heavy gore tho, though there is an option to turn it off, I should probably have chosen it, but I like to see everything even if it is not my cup of tea. seeing beheaded corpses is not something I want in my porn game.

But overall a great game!

Absolutely amazing game in every aspect.
What I thought was just a r*pe simulator with a very dark setting turns more and more into a game with a very interesting story and even world building, while of course providing more than enough sexual content to satisfy the average user.

One of the best VN games I've ever played if not the number 1 best!

Visuals: 10/10 - The artwork is breathtaking, with stunning landscapes and detailed character designs that bring the desert world to life.

Story: 10/10 - The narrative is gripping, filled with mystery, and unexpected twists. it keeps you on the edge of your seat through out the game, the story telling is top-notch

Gameplay: 8/10 - The gameplay is intuitive and enjoyable, offering a mix of exploration, puzzle solving, and decision making. some areas could benefit from more depth, but overall, its very enjoyable.

Music: 9/10 - The music perfectly complements the desert adventure, each track, from haunting melodies to adrenaline-pumping beats

all in all, a very fun game that will keep you hooked from beginning to end, cant wait for the next update.

Funny that the dev doesn't put the word "Mad Max" on the description because I can feel a big influence from that movie in this game compared to S.T.AL.K.E.R. Anyway, I'm not gonna rambling about that, let's dissecting this game one by one.

The Graphics:
I don't have much to say about it, it looks great. Quite similar with FreshWomen, Race of Life, and Chasing Sunsets. So if you care about it, this game won't disappoint you.

The Story:
Oh man, when I got introduced about this game on a subreddit, I thought this game looked cringy and wouldn't satisfied me. But no, this game is the total opposite of that. You started as a Stalker (no, you're not playing as Strelok) tasked by the Queen of Zeta (no, she's not Sidorovich) to get an old statue around post-apocalypse Egypt for her personal collection. On the way back from Cairo, you'll faced multiple choices, characters, factions, and your family which consisting you wife and two of your daughters. The worldbuilding of this game is also very great, it also has free roams, main quests, and side quests that you'll get along the way depending on your choices. As a honorable stalker among Zeta, you also have a personal house with multiple rooms and also dungeon that you can access. Oh I almost forgot, this game actually has gores and other disturbing contents, something that I haven't seen in a video game for a long time since the Manhunt series. Desert Stalker has approximately 18-19 hours contents at best so you won't get bored by it, don't forget that the game is still in production.

Sex Scenes:
The sex scenes are great, one of my favourites among other AVNs. My only complaint is that few sex scenes are kinda slow, like fucking a virgin for the first time despite the woman has experiences (gotta make them rougher, buddy). By the time I wrote this, there are multiple scenes that I haven't unlocked yet and I already finished my first playthrough.

Choices and Consequences:
Well this is the most interesting part, this game offers you multiple playthroughs. Some characters could be locked forever if you don't play your cards right. I just finished my first playthrough and there are multiple possibilities and sex scenes that I haven't unlocked yet by the time I wrote this review. So yeah, it's a must and mandatory, I will start my second playthrough later.

Verdict: 5 out of 5, just like that. I usually don't give five stars for still-in-development games but this one is one of the exceptions. Good job, you earned my respect.

This is a good non-linear VN, one of the better ones on this site. Maybe one of the best.

• Story: The game's world and plot are intriguing, and the atmosphere and shocking content are top-notch. Personally, I didn't like Ivy's story and some inconsistencies here and there, including the pacing; too many anomalies in the game. The worst thing for me is that some story elements feel completely disconnected from each other. This game is a little too much power fantasy for me, and it's hard to choose an exact rating.
• Characters: Most of them are well written with a well defined personality like Shani (the bright daughter), Zarah (the too perfect wife) and PC. I loved the crazy raiders and the queen. However, I didn't like Ain (her character is too flat and basically feels like a second Zarah) and Ivy (mainly because of the story). There are also some 100% flat characters just to fill the harem. The problems with the characters for me start when the harem gets too big, new girls keep coming, but the plot feels too static.
• Renders: High quality renders. The animations are good, but some scenes don't have any - to me this means that the development is not fully focused on the visuals, and that's good.
• Music: Great music that fits the atmosphere.

I hope this game never becomes "another incest harem game" and focuses on the setting, main plot, and gore, so I can change this rating to 5 stars one day. I would also like to see more focus on character development and exposition, and less on power fantasy.

While this game is passable, it falls short in terms of graphics and character models, feeling notably outdated. As someone who values a well-rounded gaming experience, I found this aspect particularly disappointing. However, I must commend the developers for crafting an engaging story and compelling dialogue. Despite its shortcomings, the game is still worth giving a try for its narrative strengths.

I like the game but it still seems to be very lacking in content. A lot of side missions and faction missions remain unfinished. Missions start but suddenly stop going. Incomplete mission chains should not be playable in my opinion. Because otherwise, when the progress of the missions suddenly stops, you get the false feeling that the missions can't continue because of a bug. It's been four years since the game was released, but the development process seems like a few months. At this pace of development, unfortunately, I don't have much hope for the future. Probably Desert Stalker will be another game that will never be completed.

One of the best Games here, Desert Stalker has an in-depth story that has aspects from many categories for a multitude of different fetishies. But that's not all Desert Stalker Has to offer either, it has absolutely beautiful renders to go with the Story. if there's any serious negative to Desert Stalker it's the 3 month update cycle to how much more content this game deserves until Completion. This means it should get 20 more updates at minimum. That'd mean 5 years at minimum until completion and that's a long time for something to happen and never see such a great title be completed in the manner it deserves.

Pretty dam good game. Here are some of impressions:

- Story: Excellent. The World is very interesting as well as most of the plots we get to play. I'm not gonna say it's completely original since you can clearly see the "Fallout" influence, but still awsome. I liked that we get to see Shani's point of view on that mission about "The Zone", by the way I could see a lil bit of Silent Hill there, that was great. IMO the only plot that felt a little out of place was Ivy's and by the way I don't understand why she is on the Main Menu Screen.

- Characters: I think this is where the game shines the most. MC is very well written, He's is a badass that looks like Kratos (except for his weird cute eyes, that feels off xD). About the girls, most of them are well written with a well defined personality like Zarah (the perfect wife), Ain (the clumsy hot daughter), Shani (the intelligent daughter), Kyra (the crazy raider), Emilia (the perfect maid slave), etc... And their designs are fantastic, hard to pick which one is the best but I think I'd go with Ain or Asha.

- Renders: High quality renders.

-Animation: Some of the times they are great, other times they're average, and some other times there are none. Overall good I'd say.

- Music: Great music that fits the different scenes.

Overall, the game so far is great, however, we have yet to see how all these plots will conclude. So I'd go with a 9/10 and I'm not just going to say this is "worth checking out" I say this is a "Must play".

Incredibly impressed by this game. Very well thought out. I love the concept of being able to switch main characters for a short amount of time... that's a new feature I haven't really encountered.

Can't wait to see more!

This game is a masterpiece, there is no other way to describe it.
Those who are looking for a quick fap should avoid it (although there is plenty of amazing sex scenes): this is something meant to be enjoyed, not rushed.
There isn't a lot of good writing around here on F95, but this is one of the few great exceptions. Not only the writing is pretty great (in English, with no grammar or spelling mistakes), but it contributes to create a believable world populated with believable characters, back stories, lore...
Sometimes, one feels this could be a TV series -- yes, it is that good!
Some random notes:
- The music is atmospheric and contribues to the general immersion
- The "harem" theme is explored in unusual ways and dynamics...
- ... and the same can be said about "incest"
- The dev makes it possible to choose to rename the MC, as usual, but you can additionally choose to label MC's just as "You", which is interesting if your idea is to imagine yourself as the MC. Nice touch.
- The renders (and animations and cutscenes) are top notch. Not only the characters but also everything else
- Unlike so many VNs, this is a true game, with quests and relevant choices that can get you killed and end the game prematurely
- The interface is simple and contributes for the gameplay in a positive way.
- Grind? There is no grind!

Even if this is not your cup of tea (although it is mine), it is impossible not giving it less than 5 stars.

This game is amazing. It's been on my backlog for a long while, and I finally had the chance for a good sitdown with it. I went in expecting like horny Fallout New Vegas. It turned out way better than I expected.

The story goes like 400 years back, some crazy apocalyptic event happened and the world's all fucked up and trying to rebuild some form of civilization slowly. Your character is basically the courier from Fallout, but smarter and cooler. They call him a "Stalker", which is just a fancy way of saying some legendary merc/scout that goes out and raids caves/tombs/towns/villages, not looking for supplies - but whatever treasure and fancy knick-knacks he can get for the queen. Yada yada, there's lot of different factions and they all try to sink their hooks into you and get you to work for them/influence other factions.

MC is less badass survivor and more like a gruff, wise spartan. The setting was already made like 400 years back, so he was born into this fucked world and its customs. When you start the game, he's like 40ish? Looks like he's in his 20s still to me, though. I can appreciate that through your choices, he's a good father figure, a shameless pervert, and can be either diplomatic or ruthless. The game makes you decide what his relations are to his family, but tbh, I think them being your blood-related family makes more sense, since you meet and fall in love with your wife whilst she was still being sheltered - so your daughters being unrelated makes little sense.

To preface this, in the slowly rebuilding civilization, your culture allows you to have a very open relationship that even extends to all sorts of incest. MC goes for the wife, the daughters, the cousin, the aunt, the servants, his friend's niece. And even then, I think nearly every one of them is extremely sexy. Like astronomically.

The family is just insanely horny. Your wife and daughters are super exotic and sensual. The older daughter gives off Lara Croft, capable badass vibes. The younger one is more like a political princess, trying to figure out her role in the family. Your wife gives her all being the mistress of the house while taking care of everyone, and I think the flashbacks to your meetings with her are pretty nice. There's stuff with the aunt and how she was your Ex, but it mostly leads to her rediscovering herself and allowing her family to reintegrate into her lost cultural background.

The other side girls, also feel pretty special. There's like 2-3 girls that you can do stuff with in the other factions. The interesting ones imo: Ivy > Asani > Pepper > Fangs > Mantis > Kyra + sis. It seems like Ivy is going to be a crucial part of the story, since she's been getting more time with MC lately. Asani seems special, since she has a history of being a result of the weird breeding program in MC's city. The rest are figureheads in their own factions - so they're more or less doing quid pro quo stuff with MC.

Renders are beautiful, probably one of the best I've seen on this site. The animations are realistic and plentiful. Many of the women in this game are tan and nicely so. Their facial features are still apparent and wonderfully detailed. I've seen some projects do a disservice to darker skin tones, so it makes me really happy to see it done so well here! The lighting and textures of everything even highlight how erotic and sensual the game is at its peaks.

The music is nice. It ranges from exotic and cultural stuff to techno synthwave stuff. I even noticed some slowed + reverbed versions of older songs. At times, they even have really relaxing white noise play in the background, almost sounding like silent hill music. The game doesn't fall into any preconceptions you may have about it. There could be more sound effects in the sex scenes, but if you've played ren'py VNs before, the lackthereof won't bother you too much. They're mostly there for the main story and do well in emphasizing important moments.

This game's a 5/5 to me. The updates are few and infrequent probably, but the amount of content at hand is baffling. I hope the devs do their best to keep up the quality of content in future updates and wish them luck!

THIS. This is the gold standard every other adult game needs to be compared to. It has it all, professional writing with sexy dialog, great kinks, and sexy characters. The first game I actually am happy supporting financially
