    (Version Reviewed: v0.12b)

Desert Stalker has a wonderful premise and a great set up. This is further boosted by delivering on the potential with one of the best world building seen among AVNs. I'm in love with this game in all of it's gory glory. Playing it made me realize how few games feature women with Arab heritage. There needs to be more especially after seeing how beautiful Zahra looks throughout the game. Good background music. Great renders and animations. The lewd scenes are great too.

Overall - 9.5/10. The only thing that it could slightly improve on is fleshing out some LIs who are only used as fuckmeats at this point in the game.

One of the best on here. The writing is really good. The upcoming updated graphics look to really improve things. I like it how things are optional, like optional NTR. The humor in the beginning is also great.

    A decent post-apocalyptic fuckscape.

+ Above-average story - at first - but when you hit Shani's adventure much later it almost feels like a new writer was hired who does much better. The plot cranks up a notch, the English is better, and there's actual lore with an interesting minor twist in one part. Most of the plot at the start of the game doesn't carry enough weight to allow for twists.

+ The interface is easy to use and understand, and time only advances when you want it to. I've been getting annoyed with games that advance time all of a sudden without my explicit say-so, and Desert Stalker does a nice job of putting that in the user's control. It also has a few buttons that direct you to immediately sleep with someone while advancing time if you choose.

+ The music and atmosphere is done very well, with the occasional cut scene sprinkled in for dramatic effect.

+ and - Decent lewd scenes. Nothing profound. The usual positions with a healthy side of submission. One spanking scene. Animations are very few. Out of the 30+ sex scenes I believe I counted only 8 or so are animated in some minor way.

+ and - The character models are mostly good, though there's not much variety. Females are either well-endowed or extremely well-endowed. Not much normalcy or for those of us in the itty bitty titty committee.

    - The English is odd. It's mostly spelled correctly but the grammar is often wrong, like the game's dialogue was put into a text editor that had a spell check with no grammar check. This occasionally makes the characters sound a little retarded.

In a post-apocalyptic fuckscape I would've expected a lot more violence and debauchery. It's there, but it's only during story scenes. There's not much "filler" for the gaps to really hammer in the state of things. Just walking through the bazaar it all feels like a normal, albeit primitive city. No bounty hunters with a string of trophy ears for a necklace, no slave onaholes fucked in the streets with a line of men and women waiting their turn... would've spiced things up a bit.

Great story and gameplay. Worth it alone for daughter Ain but everything else is brilliant.
Story 5/5 - Sci-Fi dystopian future. Would make a pretty good tv series.
Graphics 5/5 - Girls are stunning
Sex scenes 4/5 - Decent amount but could use more variety.
Sandbox is utilized well without being too repetitive.
Overall one of the best games on this site.
Each update is always highly anticipated.

"Desert Stalker" is a captivating game inspired by the Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, featuring an original storyline with different factions and side-stories that explore romance, violence, and more. The game's graphics are stunning, with intricate details and textures that create a realistic post-apocalyptic world. The animations are smooth and realistic, adding an extra layer of immersion to the gameplay. The sound and atmosphere in "Desert Stalker" are also noteworthy, with immersive sound effects and background music that enhance the overall experience.

One of the standout features of "Desert Stalker" is the decision-making aspect of the game. The choices you make throughout the game have a real impact on the story and character development, offering multiple paths and options for replayability. With its rich and diverse gameplay, "Desert Stalker" allows players to choose their own paths and forge their own alliances, making each playthrough unique.

In summary, "Desert Stalker" offers a compelling storyline, stunning graphics, impressive animations, immersive sound, and meaningful decision-making. It's a complete post-apocalyptic gaming experience that will keep players engaged and entertained for hours. If you're a fan of the genre, "Desert Stalker" is a must-play game that delivers on all fronts.

The setting is interesting, but the models aren't great, the scenes seem more like an afterthought and the protagonist is like a sad mix of every middle-aged action hero. The story has to constantly reinforce that he's the gritty survialist who provides for his family so everyone has to respect him and it ends up making him look insecure.

I get it, everyone's sick of the wishy-washy protagonist but this just feels like a massive overcompensation.

Desert Stalker is an extremely high quality game, compared to others on this site. The worldbuilding, backgrounds, music and areas are all exquisite. The array of characters is excellent, as well as the various quests you play and even the way everything is laid out to you in the journal, the way you progress etc. It services a variety of tags, but the more 'off putting' ones can be safely turned off and ignored. As it is, the world of future Egypt, Zeta, and the people who inhabit it, the main character, his family, the people he meets on his adventures and his interactions with them, all make for a very satisfying, engaging and enjoyable visual novel.

The story itself is complex and has many stand out moments with lots of key characters and factions on their own paths, and at the center of it all, you, and it's damn enjoyable interacting with and seeing what you do with each of them.

Julia very nearly broke my heart. That whole arc was amazingly well put together and was very heavy. Shani and Ain are great, so is Zahra, Queen Merneith is enticing, and so are the others you meet on your journeys. But the girls that stick out to me the most are Yuna, Kyra, Merneith and Ain.

10/10. This game has a long way to go and certainly more greatness to come.

This is the best game I have ever played on this site. The maker has ACTAUL talent. I hope he has a long and fruitful career after this. In fact, this might be the only game I would spend actual money on! The story, the visuals, the choices, it is all just right!

    Desert Stalker [v0.12b] Rating - 5*

    Pros:
    Cool Story
    Many unique Characters
    Character Models
    Great Renders
    Interesting Characters
    Interesting MC
    Sound
    Great Setting
    Many unique quests
    Great Sex Scenes
Incest/Harem theme is very well done
Good use of the Sandbox function

    Neutral:
    Animations o_O
The Animations feel too choppy and too slow, but the scenes are still too good to put them in the Cons category.
But I still wish that the Dev would make them more fluent.

    Cons:
    nothing:cool:

    Conclusion:
This is a Dystopian Sandbox Incest/Harem game, which are themes that would be an instant red flag and pretty much a death knell to any game on this site, but this one is different and delivers on any level.
The World feels so immersive and is very Mad Max like.
The Characters are unique, interesting and the MC is a total Badass who reminds me a bit of Kratos from God Of War.
I really like the Story with all the facets and quests it presents.
I don´t give 5* ratings easily, but this one is so good and one of the best games on this site that I can highly recommend and will follow the development of this game very closely.

I have been itching for a game to fill the space between Eternum updates and this one is amazing. I'm still busy with it, but loving the length already. I usually don't care for slave/domination genres, but it's done quite nicely here with the option not a be a asshole. I really hope this creator makes more games in the future.

If you're into father-family incest, this is literally the best AVN on the market. The visuals and animations are superb, the girls are sexy, the sex scenes are hot as fuck (the repeatables are great too, which I think is better than just relying on the gallery), the plot and setting is interesting and compelling, the characters are increasingly fleshed out. (the mc is very likable and his story is fascinating). The fact that the culture is used to incest and harems, that your wife and daughter's are there to sexually satisfy you whenever you like, is so unique and so fucking hot. Ripping games off isn't something I encourage, but we need more AVNs to utilise this premise! I wish I had found this game earlier; it's now in my second favourite AVN of all time. If you're into the kink, you absolutely have to play this game.

    Updating this review to 0.14D

Let's start by saying that this isn't your typical Ren'Py game. You aren't a fresh-faced 18 year old kid with absolutely no reason to exist within the narrative framework. There is no grinding for arbitrary relationship points. Rather, the game focuses on decisions you make that impact your political and social standing within a post-apocalyptic society attempting to revive the structures and institutions of Ancient Egypt. Influences are the S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Fallout, and Mad Max franchises.

Plot: You play as Zaton. For the past two or three decades, you've honed your craft as a Desert Stalker; a mercenary in the employ of the Queen of the city of Zeta. This allows you to eke out a comfortable existence on the Zetan outskirts with your wife Zahra and your adult daughters Shani and Ain. Everyday life is disrupted when you find an elfin mutant nicknamed Ivy while hunting for artifacts in the ruins of Cairo. You quickly become embroiled in a major power struggle between the city Elders, the outcast Mutants, frontier Raiders, and the half-zombified and militant Decayed.

Graphics: While there are some models in the early game that are kind of wonky, these quickly become some of the best and most emotive models possible, and almost all of them are hard 10s. There are no ugly LIs here, no weird uncanny valley things to be seen. Daz does have some issues with clothing here and there, but it's not really that noticeable unless you're actively looking for it.

Writing: I'm not an Egyptian history specialist but the devs do a great job of writing according to what's understood to be the Ancient Egyptian value set. There's incest, but it's not the "oh God what happens if my wife finds out I'm fucking my daughter/stepdaughter/tenant's younger sister". It's accepted as a normal fact of life in the universe and

. On the non-erotic front, everything feels lived-in, as if there are actual people going about their lives offscreen.

Characters: The named characters all have well-defined roles within the main character's household or in their respective factions, and most of the LIs have slight quirks that make them easily distinguishable. For example, Asha and Kyra, the Raider sisters, are a package deal, and except for the first time you meet them, you always interact with both of them. Kateryna, the girl who fled her hometown in Eastern Europe with her merchant uncle, is mousy but very curious, with a maternal streak

. The best part about this is that they don't feel forced into their roles at all; they all have in-universe motivations to act why they do.

TL;DR: While there are many games with ancient or postapocalyptic settings, this is one of only two games that I know of that incorporates both; and of the two, it is far and away the superior of the two. The models are excellently done, the story is highly immersive and not just an excuse to fuck anything with a pulse, and there's plenty of development left for the game to be fleshed out even more.

really great, its a porn game so obviously lots of fucking and eroticism etc, but it also has a really serious story that draws from classics like STALKER and other post apocalyptic games, the gore can get kinda excessive, but thats the story they're going for and you do have the option to limit your exposure to it, characters grow really nicely and i like the depths to some of the main characters, particularly Ivy and Shani, great characterization and expression of their thoughts and feelings, love having personal moments with characters since they can showcase genuine connection with one another like you're watching a show/movie

I wanna keep it short.. I fuck with the story.
Its one of those games that is more than just porn game for the sake of porn. The game has a story that is actually quite rich while not being very overwhelming as you get plenty of nsfw scenes that break the pace of just reading.

Nsfw scenes are great, the models for the gals are very good, and you will get to fuck pretty much anyone you engage with, so what more can u ask.

One of the rare 3DCG VNs that actually tries to tell a story, craft an interesting world, and develop and grow characters.

    Blending Sex and Story

Desert Stalker doesn't simply shove poorly-written, trope-filed sex scenes in your face one after the other with a tenuous (and optional) plot-line trying to give this awkward mishmash some semblance of overarching coherence. Instead, the sex is an organic part of a genuinely interesting and fleshed-out story line. The world breathes and is alive, and is enough by itself to capture the player's interest.

The characters aren't blank archetypes only meant to tickle the player's niche fetishes and get them to jerk off. Nope - they have personalities, motivations, and backgrounds. They grow and evolve with the story and the events that unfold within it. Here, the porn is just another aspect of character-building, and manages to be tastefully woven through the game's main story line and its many subplots. It doesn't happen without reason, and isn't the be-all, end-all of the game. The scenes are carefully built-up and this build-up gives strong context (and intimacy) to what would otherwise be a collection of random CGs of naked 3D ladies doing perhaps sexy things - a pitfall so many other VNs fall prey to. This not only serves to make them arousing, but also expands on the the characters' relationships.

    Visuals & Sounds

The game's pretty, the girls are pretty, the scenes are good and varied. Maybe I could nitpick the overall coherence in quality (some of the older "chapters" are showing their age compared to the more recent ones, the sex animations are average sometimes), but this would be the most criticism I could give.

Sounds and especially music are often criminally underutilized, but not here. Music is another aspect of the strong world-building Desert Stalker has, and I've found it to be an almost essential aspect of the story and the game's overall atmosphere. Good work there.

    So What?

The game's not finished (0.12b), and seemingly quite far from being finished, but it's shaping up to be exceptionally solid. There are rough patches here and there, and if you were to put a gun to my head to nitpick, I would flag the rare typos, the occasional bizarre phrasing, and the disparity in quality between older and newer updates... but that's really all it is: nitpicking.

If you're looking for something beyond the incredibly trope-filled, story-less yawn fests full of the same stock Daz models that Western VNs are plagued with, then this is absolutely the right place. This game knows what it wants to be and to do, and does it all incredibly well.

    Desert Stalker v0.16 Beta Review

I don’t usually write full reviews, but for this game I have to. This is single the best AVN I have ever played, and my favourite project currently in development.

    Graphics, Animations, etc…

This game looks PHENOMENAL. The characters, the environments, the facial expressions - simply everything. There are so many little details in every scene that showcases just how much the dev truly cares about their project. Where a lot of other games use the same copy & pasted character models for background NPCs, here every individual is uniquely crafted. The characters you are interacting with use body language and facial expressions incredibly well, and you’re never stuck on just one identical image for several lines of text. An example of a small detail is how if there is a transition and the scene fades to black, there are a few frames during the transition where the character moves or slightly changes their expression. That example may seem really small and insignificant, but the care taken with so many little details that might even get overlooked by some players ends up leading to an incredibly gorgeous and refined product.

Other than the still images, the VN uses animations. These aren’t only limited to intimate interactions, but sometime entire story cinematics are included. These are absolutely incredible, and while some other high-quality projects on this cite may come close to or even match the quality of Desert Stalker’s animated scenes - none are able to surpass it. I don’t actually think it is possible to do anything better using Ren’PY. I always end up scrolling back and watching these cinematic more than once just to soak up all the details.

Lastly, the background music and sound effects are great. They never get too distracting, but do a wonderful job of setting the atmosphere and overall vibe. Great job!

    World & Story

The world that Desert Stalker exists within is intricacy crafted and filled with surprisingly many secrets along with a ton of lore. The setting is post-apocalyptic Egypt, and the world is much more gritty and grounded than I was originally expecting. While civilization is starting to make a comeback (in some parts at least), there are several factions you interact with and the overall world is harsh and unforgiving. It is dangerous, and the lay of the land is that only the strongest survive. Thankfully for you, you’re one of the strongest MOFOs around, though this is done in a way that still makes the MC feel down-to-earth and not some demigod with otherworldly superpowers or anything crazy like that. You are one of very few individuals that do interact with several of these settlements, and as the story progresses get to learn more about the current world, the past, and how everything got to this place. I personally find the world and story super interesting and can’t wait to find out more.

The world is violent, and this game doesn’t shy away from that. There are injuries, dismemberments, decapitations, executions, cannibals, and more. While you can tailor your experience with in-game settings, it isn’t a gore-fest or anything like that and the game not shying away from the violence and horrors of the post-apocalyptic world is one of it’s greatest strengths. That said, it is not like every settlement is a kill-or-be-killed slaughter fest. While you might find cannibals or mummies in one area, others will be safe and for all intents and purposes “civilized.”

You will have to make choices throughout the storyline, and more often than not there isn’t a “good” or “bad” option. This world exists in the many layers of grey outside of the typical “black and white” story in which most VNs live. You make choices based on what you believe is the best and/or most fitting for your MC, and then see where choice takes you down the road. It sounds simple, but this game truly does a magnificent job of this and it really adds a lot of replayability. While a lot of VNs have several “paths” to take, they often funnel you into one of a handful of pre-determined routes. This game’s world seems to change slightly with every choice you make, and each of those choices exist together in unison. This mosaic for lack of a better word is really refreshing and gives your actions a certain weight that I find lacking in other VNs.

    Characters

There are several characters you meet and build relationships with, both within your family as well as various factions that inhabit this world. Each character feels unique and special. There are a LOT of characters, they are all very well designed and written, and you can greatly change your relationships with these characters with the choices you make. These aren’t your typical “pick the right choices to get enough points to enter a relationship with character X” kind of choices as are so common with other VNs out there. You don’t need a guide to know how to get onto someone’s path. Instead you can just make decisions based on how you feel your version of the MC would react.

One example that I’ll provide without giving many details as to avoid potential spoilers is that eventually there will be a certain side-character that really doesn’t like the MC. She is also conflicted with the duties associated with her job, and uncertain as to what path to take forwards. In this example there are several routes you can take. On one side you can support her in leaving her job and gaining more freedom over her life, and through your continued care and support this can allow your relationship to blossom into a beautiful, warm, and caring romance. On the other side, you could drill home the importance of discipline and loyalty, have her fully commit to her job, and then degrade her at the workplace to the point were she is just a glorified hole for you to use whenever you please. You can also push her into either direction without ever getting sexually involved, or just avoid getting involved at all by telling her to bugger off right at the start. This example may only be about one side character, but your choices permeate throughout the story and those paths you set characters on continue to be followed with every update. Every time you see this character, you will see them in a context that you helped put them in. The fact that these choices aren’t one-off instances and instead weave together to form the fabric of the entire world on such an immersive scale is very impressive. With enough small stories like this, soon the entire world is filled with little reminders of your choices. This makes it feel like your choices have more weight, as they truly do make the world you as a player create unique to the decisions you made up to that point.

    Potential Concerns

The game and the story are still quite early in its lifetime, and there is already a LOT of things for the dev to keep track of. So many characters, choices, paths, lore, and possible player choices, etc…. It is all incredibly well done and the dev has not given me any reason to doubt their ability to handle this and much more thus far. However, I have seen several other VNs get to the point where either the quality severely diminished because the dev got overwhelmed with too many things to keep track of, or simply got abandoned/scrapped simply because the scale was too large or ambitious for the dev to be able to handle. I really hope that Desert Stalker gets to avoid that fate, and will be joining Patreon with a pledge as soon as my financial situation allows me to.

    TLDR

As I wrote in the previous sections, the world and characters are incredibly well crafted. The writing is great, and the visuals/audio are spectacular. The gritty violent unembellished apocalyptic world opens more doors (and kinks) than any other VN I have ever seen. The weight and consequences of your actions and choices make the experience feel unique, special, and personal to you - all without getting overwhelming, tedious, or decreasing the incredibly high quality present. Which characters live and die, what your relationships with these characters are, which alliances are formed, enemies are made, etc…. Depending on your choices, the world feels like your world and the MC feels like YOUR character. The story of the relationships between characters and how they change with regards to your choices would in isolation make a great VN. The story of exploring the intricately designed world and piecing together all the mysteries of the old world and what happened would be a great standalone VN. But these two narratives intertwined into a single package that is Desert Stalker it is absolutely fabulous. A true 10/10 AVN if there ever was one, that raises the bar for the entire genre. If you're going to try anything on this site, you might as well try this.

I don't even know where to begin. This really is a great game and I would highly recommend it to anyone into incest/harem/slaves/maledom. The models all look great and all the women are hot. You can sleep with most of the women in the game, and the others you probably will fuck in future updates. The background areas look really good and help the story.

Better than the graphics are the story and dialog. There are a few different storylines in the game and most are good. There is one storyline I'm not interested in but you might be. The story and dialog really add to the Hscenes in the game. The way certain characters interact with each other is great too. For example, I love the way your wife interacts with your daughter, basically training her to be your fucktoy. Gender roles are different, and most women are submissive and breedable.

This is one of those degenerate lewd games that has you wishing these porn game devs were actually superhuman workaholics doing sweatshop hours (I'm glad they're not, tho), and could just churn out updates every week or something.
This game is easily one of my favorites based on potential alone. There's quite a lot of great content in here already, but since all of it so well executed I find myself constantly wishing there was more of everything. It's a good problem to have, I guess.

Rarer still, this game not only succeeds in delivering great bobs and vagana content, but it also manages to bring a genuinely interesting setting that has me intrigued with the world's characters and its lore. Even the MC is likeable and convincingly badass in order to justify his ability to fuck bitches and I guess get bitches. Not sure if money is even a thing in this world but MC would probably be getting that too.

It's a must play so definitely look into it if you haven't yet, especially if you're reading this review several months or years in the future for some reason because it can only have gotten better since.
