Ren'Py - Desert Stalker [v0.16c] [Zetan]

Pros:
~Game actually has its own unique culture- pretty rare in H game world-building.
~Pretty character models
~Gritty environment
~Badass MC
~Some fun remixes of common "Fallout" post apocalyptic tropes
~Writer seems to understand emotion so there is realism to the characters.

Neutral:
~Sharing scenes (while few) are just a waste of art assets. I appreciated the Dev gave us a toggle for that. It wouldn't even cross my MCs subconscious as an option concerning his daughters.
~Game is pretty young- so quite a few characters aren't fleshed out yet.

Cons:
~No game-play elements befitting an RPG game. You can get more girls, some cash, and a better car- but there aren't really other game-play elements.

Great game story-wise, and the general writing/dialogue is actually pretty compelling, which is something probably less than 1% of devs here can manage. Unfortunately the h-content was very average and even got repetitive.

Visuals and renders are great, but without a well-written h-scene, you're left unsatisfied. They were relatively numerous, but very lacking in quality and, quite unlike the rest of the writing in the game, felt like something any crap-dev could put together in under half an hour.

I'd still recommend anyone who's a fan of the tags check it out, but expect a "physical frustration" and considerable enough dissatisfaction to necessitate other methods of release.

Desert Stalkter v0.07c is an incredible game! This game jumped straight into my top 3 adult games of all time and trust me I have played A LOT. The characters are interesting, the atmosphere, the set up, I like everything. Forgot to mention about the characters, this game has the most beautiful characters I have ever seen, literally how I imagined how a beautiful woman in Egypt looks like, incredible. This game is definietely one of the most unique game nowadays, you play as a trasure hunter in apocalypse time in Egypt, what can be more interesting than that?. Some H scene are lil bit short, that is only downside of the game. I highly recommend trying this game, you wont regret, this game deserves all the attention.

Not sure how I didn't find this earlier, really hot scenes with good models and interesting lewd world. The writing is sexy, and the animation adds a good touch. Can't wait to show the wasteland the right of might.

This is a great fucking game! It's also a very ambitious project, but one that delivers. The setting and story are cool and quite captivating, the romantic interests are many, varied and all look great! The game is quite gritty and gory, which I like, but you can tun that off if it's not your thing. The game has some short cutscenes that really add to the whole experience. Something as simple as a sealed vault door hissing as it unlocks and then swinging open really adds to the atmosphere. And as short as they are they are well done and it's clear that A LOT of work went into them. The way the game handles the incest content is also a nice change of pace. I like stories of secret love between a father and his daughter as much as anyone, but a story where it's not just accepted but expected is refreshingly different. Also, the content with the crazy sisters is one of my favorite parts of any VN ever, I seriously can't recommend this game enough!

• Inspiration from some of the best post-apocalyptic franchises and Ancient Egyptian culture
• Splendidly paced and written story with a lot of content.
• Plenty harem options with many beautiful girls. Potentially the harem can be very huge given the culture setting. And incest/harem implementations here are not feeling like a load of crap! I can’t even remember the last time I had that thought about an AVN!

Overall, a great game, 11/10.
The only drawback I saw here is lack of animations, but as I was playing, I found out I don’t give a shit, the game’s just that good.

An absolute breath of fresh air. An interesting setting, a unique MC in appearance & personality, a harem that's an actual harem, well written, no grind, excellent renders... And more.

Static sex scenes is a downside, but not a huge issue. I'm also not entirely sold on having a secondary protagonist/viewpoint.

Really incredible work. I look forward to future updates.

Really good game, excellent story and characters, rich world building (notes, books, culture). It lacks good animations but that doesn't spoil the scenes, unlike other games that only rely on good animations to be relevant this one rely on it's atmosphere and great characters.

Now this is quite the quality post-apocalyptic game!

I haven't really experience one that rolls Mad Max and STALKER together into an adult VN that's full of everything a world like this could offer. Monsters, gore, sex, drugs, crazy people, and angry looking cars.

The Egypt touch is what brings it together, as humanity in the area regressed to a more ancient civilization.

The characters so far definitely fit in the world, and I'm excited the see more adventures with them.

The last update really made the game stand out. The UI, music, and extra writing polish really elevated Desert Stalker into being it's own game. I can only suggest spicing up the textbox UI.

I'm excited to see more from this wild world and how the harem/free roam aspects flesh out.

Definitely keeping my eye on this one.

An excellent VN that takes an exhausted incest genre and puts care and creativity into the writing and story. The game has no grindy aspects thankfully, as it relies on story to make depth, rather than repetitive clinking that gives me the wrong type of carpals.

Really cool world, and I feel like such an evil bitch because my favorite part of the game for me so far was the Queen and Diana executing that guy, haha!

But seriously, the atmosphere (dystopian future Egypt) is really fascinating, and the type of world that sets it apart from most games on this site. A lot of pretty women to ogle/enjoy, so I think many will enjoy it!

I can strongly relate to many of the positive aspects, that were mentioned before: this game is a great experience! What I´d like to add:

One of the things, that make this game outstanding, is it´s ability to get your imagination rolling. This applies to the characters, the story and the world itself. For example, there is enough stereotype and setup to fill in what is not shown or explained and yet so many unique ideas to be constantly curious, to get invested and interested.

The intro, for example, works so well, because we have seen similar situations before and can instantly jump into the action without much exposure. But already in the next scene, we are introduced to a situation, which is not as easily assessed, where some borderline evil mutants, who are “friends” of yours, are about to eat an Elf! Do I go against them, give up the girl or do I give up something possibly very valuable to rescue her. Here I am, not even 5min into the game and confronted with a choice, that feels quite consequential.

Also, the MC is very varied in his relationships, because he combines different roles in a somewhat believable way: father, mentor, husband, seducer, master, subject, conqueror, breeding material. So every girl/sex-interest is not only defined by the girls character, but also very strongly by the type of relationship. This is nothing new on its own, but I have rarely experienced it in such a varied way.

Lastly, I find it a HUGE benefit in a harem game, that you are already married. No more “It´s ok for me if you love us all”- lines ;-)

A Hyper fascinating tale of decadence, adventure, and civilizations on the rise in a world far removed from an almost forgotten era. Thrilling and innovative are it's cantrips, and in terms of potential, can easily match the by now phantasmagorical legacy of games such as the Elder Scrolls, Fallout, the Witcher, and more!

Great game. Almost a masterpiece. You could found lows here and there (short sex scenes,nor many animations),but it is to few to spoil the show.
I was blown away by the world Zetan builds in this game and how easily u get caught in .
Its like a great series when u are just waiting for the release of next episode.

Excellent game. Brilliant everything. Good mix of voidance, nudity and sex. Reminds me of Spartacus and Tutankhamun. Looking forward to more gameplay. You could i think add more freeroam and random events in desert and in city.

Intrigued by the high rating so decided to give it a go. What i noticed immediately was that most of the female cast look almost identical. most of the scenes also have poor lighting.
The good things are the music, the choices and the setting.
if you are into post apocalyptic stuff you will like this.

top 3–4 games so far. incredibly high quality. great pacing in story, music, quality dialogue; I like that the choices are usually straight forward and not too ambiguous preventing excess punishment. ability to edit character details and relationships midgame is ingenious property that all similar games must implement; greatly looking forward to the rest.

Desert Stalker [v0.007c] is a Ren'py game that has alot of choice-wise RPG characteristics, which is a breath of fresh air if you consider the current state of the Ren'py games that pops up nowadays. It has awesome music & sound design that adds to the atmosphere, great renders and a mighty fine story that will captivate you and leave you wanting for more.

The story takes place in post-apocalyptic Egypt where you take the role of a "Desert Stalker" who has unparalleled skill on raiding tombs, finding artifacts of the old world and fighting wasteland scum that would dare get on his way. His skills are sought after by factions and people of power on the region, but the question is, which one will you be lending your alliance to? And will you keep your harem members happy enough to love you or fear you?

The game takes inspiration from many other well known games such as Fallout, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and a bit from Tomb Raider. Developer of the game blends all into a great mix and presents it in a way that would intrigue you and sometimes put a smile on your face. Again, unlike many other Ren'py titles, the replay value of Desert Stalker is very high due to some major choices in the game that could make huge differences on the plot and drive the story to somewhat different paths.

So what is not perfect in it that prevents me from rating it as a 5 star game? Even though you got an option to go incest way which is my favorite pornographic concept of all time? Hey we all got our kinks, don't call me a degenerate! Well, let me tell you.

1- The quality of this game deserves fully animated scenes. There are some in there so i know there is potential, and im fully aware that game is not near completed yet but, BUT... filler ones are kind of 70% crap. Some people might like it, i didn't, so it's kind of an expectancy and opinion thingy more than a huge con.

2- This is a +18 erotic game, but it is more established around the main story rather than the development of the characters around you (Except one i presume, but i cannot tell you since it would be a huge spoiler.) Things are happening too fast. Your... uhh.. "family" are too ok with how openly you go around dangling your dingle all over the members of manor. This is not very ideal for me, things are more precious if you work for them a bit, you know, build things up, make it feel real. I kinda felt like i barged into the story in the middle of character development just because of scenes like that. Anyways, this is the main reason why this isn't a 5 star rating.

Anyways, I've rambled enough, i hope i've managed to put some insight in you to figure out what kind of game this is. For me, it is a nice enough game to recommend it, even though you are not very interested in the listed tags, give it a try, it might surprise you. I hope you'll enjoy it. And if you got the money and think game deserves it, please support the dev.

I love this fucking game. The emotionality in all the scenes, the story, the setting, the beautiful models and all their unique personalities and circumstances, the exploration of kinks, the dialogue to sex ratio etc. Shit is amazing.

Everything about this game is perfect ok? i have nothing absolutely nothing to complain about.
-The renders, graphics and models are gorgeous and uniquely, didn't saw anything similar until now, the environment is very exotic and gives you the feeling that you are part of the game traveling to deserts and destroyed towns, it reminds me of Mad Max and the protagonist really resemblance him.
-The story is original and i love it more than anything along with the writing, there aren't many games that have arab influence which is story wise.
-The writing and the dialog overall is top notch, every characters has it's own personality and way of thinking and based on that they make their own decisions which fits perfectly.
-Another very important and unique aspect of the game is the gore/bloody/killing/torture scenes, there are very few games that have this aspect introduced but this game does the very best indeed and i give honors to the dev for this.
