The story revolves around an exchange student who moves in with three beautiful women. It’s very early still, but so far, not much to say beyond that, it’s a story about a guy going to college, and meeting beautiful women.
The writing is very amateurish, many of the interactions feel unnatural, with lots of awkward jokes. Characters often behave strangely, with one of them in one minute being (very justifiably) pissed off at the MC, and on the next minute she’s asking him out and making moves on him.
Maybe it gets better as the game updates, but if you play these games for the story, there’s not much of it here right now.
Now let’s talk about the reason the game is rated the way it is, which is the visuals. Well, more specifically, the engine it uses. This game uses VAM as its engine of choice, which immediately makes the visuals stand out from the sea of games using DAZ, Koi or HS. I’ve played a few VAM games in the past, and always thought they looked fantastic, with very impressive physics. But for whatever reason, they always seem to focus on fringe kinks or are just poorly executed in general. This is the first VAM game I’ve played that’s simple, straightforward, vanilla, and features classically beautiful girls. And that’s its biggest selling point.
To be clear, the things that this game does well are elements I value highly, such as smooth animations, scenes that look and feel different from other games, and very beautiful LIs (even if their faces look very similar). But at the same time, I can’t help but feel the engine is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and once this game gets more competition, it won’t be nearly as impressive. But as it stands, there are very few games that look quite like this, and I’m sure working with an underused engine brings its own set of challenges, so I think a 4 is fair. Just don’t expect too much of the plot, and just enjoy the eye candy.
