maybe I'm doing things wrong but is it possible to find a weapon in the game or are we stuck with just fists? maybe I'm just not doing the right quests or looking in the right places. I get that we're cultivating, but I think sword energy is p cool too

Hey bro, sorry if this is a stupid question haha, but I liked your work so much that I'm curious about how it works, like what language you use, how long it might take to learn, where you get the images (are they AI or your own), things like that

I'm using AI to generate images, and I'm writing in Visual Studio Code. When it comes to language I use Sugarcube. It's hard to answer how long it might take to learn honestly, it depends on level of complexity in game you want to do! Actually, some things are really simple, like making 'visual novel' with only few branching routes. Personally, I've encountered most troubles with more complex mechanics(for me lol :D) lik

In current version, there were no weapons. In what I'm working currently on - there are weapons. However, attacks are directly tied to skills/abilities. Equipment is just flavor I wanted to add. It slightly increase stats, but do not have direct effect on available attacks.

Greetings, Fellow Daoists!

I must apologize for the silence. Lately, real-life complications have been like a chaotic tribulation, leaving me with little time to refine my craft. However, even amidst the storm, the path of development continues.

Here is a glimpse into the current evolution of the world:

✨ Visual Ascension
The interface has undergone a spiritual cleansing. I have redesigned the tabs and backgrounds to more deeply reflect the Xianxia aesthetic, ensuring every menu feels like a step further into an immortal realm.

Market Expansion
The city marketplace is growing. Three distinct pavilions are now open for business:

  • The Alchemist’s Forge: For all your pill-refining needs.
  • The Iron Pavilion: Where weapons are birthed from fire.
  • The Bliss Furnace: An eccentric "massage" pavilion where desires are indulged-though be warned, some encounters may take an unexpected turn. You can even acquire personalized "Jade Artifacts" here.
⚔ Equipment & Raiment System
The foundation of the equipment system is now live. You can now outfit your character with:

  • Garments & Underlayers: From silk robes to intimate wear.
  • Artifacts: Wield a weapon and equip up to three accessories. While these are currently for flavor, accessories will soon unlock unique dialogue and tactical options during narrative scenes.
Silk & Shreds: The Durability System
Battle is harsh on the mortal form-and its coverings. Your clothes now possess Durability. As you take damage, your portrait will dynamically shift through three stages:

  1. Pristine: Full dignity and protection.
  2. Tattered: Signs of a harrowing struggle.
  3. Exposed: Completely bare to the elements. Walking the sect grounds or city streets in a state of undress may lead to unique (and potentially embarrassing) consequences.
Refined Encounters
I have successfully polished the random events for Rare Herb Gathering and Spirit Vein Meditation. These points of interest are now more rewarding and stable.

Current Focus: I am putting the final touches on the balance of Region 1 while slowly weaving the threads of the main plot into the higher realms.

Holiday Update & Launch News!
Merry Christmas, fellow cultivators! I hope your holidays are filled with joy and high-grade spirit stones.

I’m thrilled to announce that I am officially aiming to go public on December 31, 2025! On that day, the project will move from the development thread to a release on the forum. I am finally getting back into a regular development rhythm to keep this journey going.

Recent Changelog:
  • Code Refactor: Cleaned up redundant blocks for better performance and maintainability.
  • Visual Overhaul: Updated background gradients and UI styling for a deeper Xianxia atmosphere.
  • Market Expansion: Opened three new shops in Jade Creek Town (Alchemy, Forge, and the Bliss Pavilion).
  • Equipment System: The core function for clothing, weapons, and accessories is now live.
