This game is pretty awesome so far with most of my gripes coming with things that happens towards the end of this version. Anyways, let's get into it.

Likes that mostly have to do with the start

- The humor seems pretty solid to me. The MC is portrayed as this charming, street-smart individual, and for the most part, I feel like he’s play this role exceptionally well and actually comes off as charming as he’s supposed to be in conversation, and that’s a big plsu for me.

- I love the setting. There’s orcs, dwarves, faeries, humans, ghosts, goblins... the list just goes on, and all the races interacting with each other while also having their own unique cultural/racial quirks has also been very cool — not to mention that all their renders are very unique and cool. I’m enjoying them a lot and truly believe that the girls are both uniquely strange while also being incredibly hot.

- MC start off the story with something that I find a little unconventional: he already has a girlfriend and/or steady relationship. Another that I find unconventional about this is that I actually really like her. She’s a charming individual that’s loving without being jealous, and I think she fits perfectly for this mostly harem setting. 10/10, would not trade her for anything.

- Piggybacking off that previous comment about relationships, a lot of the characters in this game are already have established relationships with other people. The MC’s coworker has a wife and daughter, another one’s happily married in a family of two, and even the guy down the street that looks like he runs a pizza parlor has a sexy fae girlfriend willing to introduce him to her family. I love the feeling of normalcy these kind of relationships establish in wake of the supernatural+haremy stuff going on, and I also like that the MC isn't creeping on them/NTRing them right from the the get-go — nah, he at least standards for any girl with a pussy. Anyways, I digress. Point is is that my favorite scene so far is probably playing ‘Moral Combat’ with the daughter of the MC’s coworker without having any talk of sex or sexualizing her. Literally just playing ‘Moral Combat’ with a kid that actually acts like a kid. 10/10 didn’t know how much I needed a scene like that in a game( And oh god do I hope I didn’t just jinx it by saying that).

- Starting stories with death scenes doesn’t usually work me, but this worked spectacularly. Having the dying guy give important instructions on what to do for his inevitable return actually encourages me to pay attention to what’s going in the dying scene so that I don’t miss any key plot points. Most scenes just use a bunch of throwaway information that makes it completely irrelevant. At least this one clues you in on what might be going in the background.

- I really liked the animations, small and brief as they might be. I don’t actually remember any specifics ones, but I do remember there being some sort of animation with the MC’s girlfriend that caught me by surprise — a pleasant surprise. It was something like a quick hug or something? Regardless, the animations so far are definitely effective.

Dislikes that mostly have to do with the end(of this version)

- I dislike the ghost girl plotline. At first, dealing with the problems she caused was treated like some sort of incredibly urgent, life or death situation. Instead, we have the problem put off for 10+ scenes after an initial failure to fix it.

Then we go another 10+ scenes until we find out that — actually — it’s even worse we initially thought! The MC needs to get rid of it immediately, or he’ll be doomed life of eternal suffering madness… Only to be sidetracked by another 10+ scenes completely irrelevant to that plotline. Yeah, I’m just not buying that the spoken urgency is as urgent as it actually seems based on the way it’s being handled. I’d say either finish the plotline or stop making it out be such a big deal all the time.

- Then there’s the fact that there’s way too many characters towards the end. I’ve lost of track of the number of girls the MC works with. He has so many partners for so many separate plotlines that I’m getting confused. In reality, I don’t think it’s as complicated as I’m making it sound, but everything is so compartmentalized to what each character’s role is that I really wish that we could bundle some of these roles into one character. For example, instead of having 3-4 contacts with the police and 3-4 contacts with the supernatural dudes, how about we just have 1 that works closely with him for each and have these other characters take more minor roles? I’m just getting a little exhausted by how many people he’s working with while having no real time to build a good rapport with any one girl. That’s all. Just want them to switch off a little less fast and often, I think.

- Finally, the sex scenes. WHY ARE THERE NO MONSTER GIRL SEX SCENES? WHAT IN THE FLYING FUCK, MR. DEV — SIR, MY BELOVED WONDERFUL SIR? HOW CAN YOU HAVE SO MANY HOT, DELICIOUS MONSTER GIRLS AND THEN HAVE ALL THE SEX SCENES BE WITH ONLY THE HUMAN ONES?! WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK, MY MAN?! I get that you might be saving the best for last, but COME ON, instead of having monster girl scenes, why are you making 5/7 of all the sex scenes you’ve made so far ABOUT A PASTY ASS MOTHER-FUCKING WHITE GIRL WHO’S SO PRISSY SHE GETS A LITTLE UPSET WHEN THE MC’S HITTING THAT FINE ELVEN BUSSY ON THE DOWN LOW?! WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK MAN? I CAME HERE FOR THAT MONSTER KUSH, NOT SOME WHITE GIRL’S BUSH, F-FUCKING-S!

AND SHIT MAN, ON SECOND LOOK, THAT WASN’T EVEN ONE WHITE GIRL — BUT THREE DIFFERENT ONE’S! HOLE-EE-SHIT, THEY LOOK SO MUNDANE AND UNATTRACTIVE NEXT TO MONSTER GIRLS THAT I COULDN’T EVEN TELL THEM APART! GREEN GIRLS, RISE UP! GREEN GIRLS, RISE UP!(I swear I’m not racist, I just hate humans in general.)

TLDR

Would’ve been 5 stars with more monster girl scenes. Fin.

Definitely one of my favorites.

Lovely characters, great humor, an attractive setting, a unique story, and great storytelling.

Also last, but not for importance, the sex scenes are great with the tendency to become awesome within the following updates (wholesome but kinky, just the perfect combination for me).

My heartly advice is to give it a try even though you might not find it interesting enough at first glance (mostly due to the presence of monster girls), chances are you will change your mind pretty quickly.

It is absolutely recommended by me.

The game became an instant favorite.

Great characters, humor, interesting setting.

As others wrote the setting is similar to Sorcerer, which I loved by the way, but in my opinion the sex is done better here.

Hopefully the dev will be able to keep up this level of story quality while expanding on the characters and relationships.

Great story so far, lovely characters, amazing LIs, interesting mystery, & reminds me The Sorcerer, but does have it's own flair & style to stand on it's own. (The Sorcerer reference is ment to be a positive).

I want to 5 star it, but sill early in the story and it could do a 180 and scare everyone away, but hopefully it won't.

My negative thought on it is, my own personal impatience on certain subjects in the story.

Also, one characters, I want to pummel to oblivion, but readers probably can figure out whom that is. That character, while is a foil to the story, irritates me

Very cool.
It has a big and elaborate world, a cool possession story and a mistery to solve.
It´s more a story based thing and has few sex scenes.
I´m liking the orc and the fey and the vampire and whatever. It´s a nice change from the usual busty redhead vixens.
It´s a pity the author was lame with the LIs and the MC. He has one of those magic dicks and the understanding girlfriend.
It´s just lazy.
I guess he spent all his creativity with the world building, wich is fine.

It´s not 5 star game but has the foundations of it.
Let´s wait and see.

Really good game. Good renders and writing. Story seems interesting. There is a great diverse of characters here. Everyone got their own personality. Orc gf is my fav. Fair amount of gameplay. Surely give this one a try.

This feels like a copy of that game Sorcerer, though I'm not saying that as a negative. I liked Sorcerer. But it's a dude with amazing powers in a modern day, urban supernatural setting, collecting a harem of ladies all totally cool with sharing him. It's got the same vibe as that game. Which frankly, I like. I enjoy the fact that he's got genuine feelings for many of his ladies (some he just met so it hasn't really deepened yet I suspect). It's not some douchebag venting his incel frustrations on women in a revenge fantasy. Nah, he's just got lots of ladies, and he plays with them, sometimes together.

I like it. The renders are good, I enjoy the passion/intimacy in the sex scenes. Looking forward to more updates.

Wow, what an amazing game so far, and really original !

I like the story, the lore setup and universe.
The mix-up of modern period setup with folklore "creatures" likes Orcs, Vampires (from Masquerade it seems <3), Demons, Dwarfs, Elves, ... is working wonderfully.
And the story uses them intelligently, so that makes it believable (and bonus point given for the Codex and its Races entries, really interesting).
The humour is well balanced, and NPCs have a deep personnality that makes me want to know more about them (I really like Glasha behaviour, she is smart, strong and slightly dominant, but inside she has a soft heart full of love, it's so cute!).
Oh and another bonus point for how the "harem mode" is entirely included within the story, and is a part of the inhabitants habits of this world (some grows with polygamy and it's normal for them, some are more reluctant because it's not part of their species habits). And I find it's a clever way to do it, well played

About the NPCs, and obviously the Girls/LIs, that's a wonderfull job !
Models are attractive, some even weirdly too much attractive (your time will come Vasaer, Kimmy, Grace and Nat ), surely thanks to their originality and good design.
H-scenes are well performed and very arousing, even if some "real" animations would have been the icing on the cake (but hey, i need to find at least one default to this game, right? ^^)

Well, I really enjoyed playing the v0.3 of Detective Necro, and I am looking forward for the next updates with great interest

I just love this game.
The story is unusual, being a detective necromancer in a modern fantasy setting with a orc girlfriend is pretty unique if you ask me. Mystery is the strongest point of this story with secrets and new discoveries in every corner. Plot twist after plot twist you can see that the developer have a interesting story to tell and big plans for it. Not only that but he created a deep lore and it is delightful to find new pieces of it and get to know the sociocultural and historical background of this world.
Another of the strong points of this AVN is the girls, all them unique in their own ways, from cute goblins (LOVE YOU KIMMY!) to shy dark elfs and mysterious vampires. I love them all but hey I'm a sucker for monster girls. A special mention to Glasha the best predetermined girlfriend that I have seen in long while. By the way harem is confirmed and thanks god for that, they are all the best.
As a side note, I would like to point out the how helpful have BlackHand as been interacting with his community, answering questions and been open about his game so kudos to him.
An absolute must play!

Played version 0.3 and it really surprised me at how well written it was. The renders are a bit plain but not bad and the characters are fairly attractive and I really enjoyed the Shadowrun style world. It has a very interesting setup with you getting thrust into a world you know nothing about while at the same time trying to balance a more normal life with at the same time. A good contrast between the mundane and fantastic. The characters are all pretty enjoyable and quite funny at times and it's what drew me in the most I would say. A good variety of characters with interesting personalities but all pretty compelling. Well worth checking out.

Wow! This a true VN with a fantastic in depth story that also has plenty of action. The in game choices seem to matter in how the end will play out without faux choices. The LI choices definitely matter as there are numerous LIs and you can choose who to be or not to be with. The only complaints I'd have are that you can't name your saves and I already have multiple play throughs and that you have the classic every LI is super into the MC. Maybe that will change as we get further into the game and you develop who your MC is but so far every LI I've met is all about him and so it makes it just a yes or no do I want to be with them.

The writing is good. The world-building is excellent. Every character is uniquely and organically charming.
Easily one of the most enjoyable projects I have encountered in a long time. Well worth a look, especially if you have even a passing interest in the fantasy genre.

Excellent Fantasy game even without the adult scenes which are present in the game , this is one hell of a story, Main character is different than most of the games here both in personality and looks . Writing is excellent and there is various races of female characters and all are stunning . You can choose who you wanna romance and there is a Harem path too ( which I like )
Overall Amazing game , looking forward to future release . Highly recommended if you love fantasy stories .

Really love the Orc female lead. Thumbs up man. I love the fantasy elements and the characters are very original. Please keep working hard at it you will have my support. I look forward to reading the rest of the story.

This is one of the better games that blends the modern day world with fantasy elements nearly perfectly, if you like a mash up of the modern world with fantasy as well as mystery then this game is for you.

I didnt expect much when i downloaded it but got pleasantly suprised. The game looks quite good and the plot hase potential in my opinion. I really like the world this VN is playing in with the mixture of a modern timeline and the mythical component which is present but not totally dominating. It will be interseting to see how the powers are integrated in the Story and how it will play out as the storyline progresses. I really do hope that the MC wont become all powerful all of a sudden which seems to be the fact at the moment, but i still hope there will be some epic fights later on.

As for the choices they seemd mostly straightforward to me and pretty much focused on the relationships with the girls so a lot of them could have been: "Do you wanna bang this chick or nah?" I hope that changes so you can be a bit more involved in the story but well have to wait and see.

In conclusion i really think this is worth being checked out.

Review for v0.2

A really solid start to what seems to be a promising story-based AVN.

This is definitely a slow burn, so prepare for that. I'm all for a good slow burn personally, but I know not everyone feels that way.

There's a lot of good marks that got hit for me. Very solid dialogue and writing, an interesting story and setting, characters that don't feel like robots, and a wide variety of love interests is always nice. The MC is definitely not the standard cookie-cutter one you see rather often, but I will say I didn't connect with him right away. I warmed up to him as I played, but I think I just need to see more to get fully on board in that aspect. Overall though this does what a good slow burn should, keeping me interested and invested.

The renders aren't amazing, but they definitely aren't bad either. I wouldn't be surprised to see them improve over time with how much care is put into everything else. The love interests look relatively unique too which is a plus. It's not often we get a good looking orc girlfriend.

Sex scenes are, as you might expect, a bit spaced out and there isn't that many of them yet. My biggest issue is the lack of animations. While I think there is some truth in a lewd VN being able to make up for that with the rest of the game, this game doesn't accomplish that for me personally. But to be fair, most AVNs wouldn't either. When you strictly compare the sex scenes to VNs with animated ones, the animated ones will win almost every time. I think with Daz especially if you lack animations, you really need to be top notch with everything else in a scene (renders, writing and dialogue, angles and poses, etc.) and this doesn't quite get there for me. But all that being said, they certainly aren't horrible either.

I'll also say as a minor gripe this doesn't have sound past the main menu. For me, it's so much easier to get immersed when there's sound. This being a story driven game, it's even more important imo. Sound effects and ambient noise, or even just some fitting music would be great.

This is still a really solid start for fans of story driven AVNs like myself. Good amount of content for an early version and it kept my interest through all of it. I need to see more before I'd give it 5 stars, but the potential is there.

Reviewed version : v.02

Promising start, great renders. However, very few choices so far and most related to sex. Also there are no animations.

However the prose is good, plot is intriguing and I am looking forward to future releases.

I'm a sucker for great fantasy worldbuilding and this has tons of it. The whole fantasy system seems well though out and extremely interesting, and there's a lot of intrigue. I'm surprised by how much we learn about the world in the initial release.

It slows down at some places and there are some pacing issues, but it's great for an initial release. Looking forward to more.

Detective Necro [v0.1.1]
TL;DR: The biggest hurdle I see this game facing so far is the name. Too many people (myself included, initially) are put off by it thinking it’s pointing to necrophilia, instead of it being a Detective who becomes a Necromancer. I suggest changing this for now in order to attract the “correct” audience to a better-suiting name. Once established, it could be changed back or act as an alternative title. Which is a shame because I personally feel this is a story with amazing potential with a developer who clearly put a lot of love into this project, and it shows.

Gameplay - Story-driven but choice on LIs
The developer has a story they want to tell, but the player is given some agency in what the MC should do which primarily concerns how involved they should become with another character. So far there are plans of the MC being either lawful or chaotic (good or bad, as it’s put) in the future but the story hasn’t been given enough time for this to be revealed yet. Which, you know, is a good thing, you don’t want things happening too fast. Thankfully these choices (should you wish to pursue everyone or no one) doesn’t make the MC feel schizophrenic, they remain sensible and in-character rather than having to change personality/masks depending on whomever is part of the conversation.

Story - Intriguing and Mysterious
Let’s start with the bad, namely the kind-of forcing the MC to immediately be in a relationship with two people that the player doesn’t know or might not even end up caring for. This is unavoidable in some stories but a lot of devs get this part wrong. Namely, the player is usually forced to accept that the MC is in love with the primary LI and then they can decide to either remain faithful or cheat on someone they don’t know or care for (not naming those AVNs, I’ve played enough of them that it’s a consistent problem to do with the devs knowing the character but not the player). Thankfully, this isn’t the case as while the MC knows these “primary LIs”, the player can simply decide not to interact with them romantically but more as a friend or roommate (plus it’s been confirmed the MC can later on break up with them and so far this is necessary for the story).


Now that that’s out of the way, the story proper. There’s a murder mystery taking place in a “high fantasy world that has undergone a technological revolution” with magic seemingly being extremely rare and almost considered illegal by the government due to… story reasons that may or may not involve the MC, which we will be able to confirm later on in the story. There is a series of events that we follow as the MC tries to make sense of a fantastical situation, grasping at strings in the dark that are flailing wildly which could lead to salvation or damnation. Sure, he’s led by the nose sometimes by people who know more than him and don’t want to divulge the entire story in order to not influence his behaviour (and also keep the player guessing), however the MC doesn’t simply accept these out of stupidity but instead out of realisation that he is in way over his head and that it’s okay to ask for help.


This first draft has a full four days of story, which is incredible considering how little content usually is in a first release, and there’s enough there to keep you guessing and drawing your own conclusions. There is a story happening around the MC rather than simply at him or driven by him, and we will see in the future (hopefully) what his place will be amongst his friends and as part of his old and new life.

Characters - Unique Individuals
Holy shit, the number and variety of characters in this story is incredible. Each character is different, with their own wants, needs and personalities, none of them have felt flat/two-dimensional. So far the only person I feel could use some work is the MC, as he does not look like how he feels he should. But even he has his own personality, while the player provides nudges in certain directions like the voice of reason. I loved meeting every character and wondering what their particular moral compass would be and how they will behave in the future. They act in their own interests rather than serving as a ploy for the MC to look better than he actually is, who in turn acts like a regular person would act if they were pushed into an unbelievable situation.

Lewdness - Uncommon, no animations (so far)
Now, I’m going to put forward that I’m one of those weirdos who reads AVNs for the plot unironically, and only really enjoy lewd scenes if they serve the story. And good god, this one delivers. There’s only two lewd scenes so far and both serve as a natural progression in the story. The participants have feelings for each other, there’s consent, there’s variety in positions and sex acts. The scenes are stills, going from one scene to the next, which might put people off. However, I’d argue that this game is not porn with a story bolted on, but rather it’s a story with sex scenes in key moments. Of course this could change later, but remember this is a first draft and they’re still quite tastefully done.

Artstyle - 3DCG DAZ renders
Let’s get the negatives out of the way first. There are some scenes which have the usual issues of trying certain poses using pre-made clothing, such as feet sticking out of someone’s shoes when they’ve got their legs crossed and the issue with the orc LI’s piercings which the dev has noticed yet I didn’t (which says a lot about attention to detail, imo). Then there’s the MC’s detective partner who seems to go from bland face to extreme reactions in certain scenes which… you know, could just be that character’s personality. Same goes for the vampire partner which can be explained by their unique condition.


Which leads us onto the good, and boy there is a lot to love here. The characters are all interesting, they have subtle facial expressions, each character feels unique and different like they actually have their own lives and personalities instead of being generic good-looking cookie cutter. For a first timer, there are a lot of set pieces and unique items which absolutely goes to show just how much passion there is in this. There are some scenes that include real-life images as a background which are absolutely fine. They do pop out a bit more but they’re not in scenes that are vital in terms of needing custom work. All in all, it’s very well done and keeps you integrated in the story, with no continuity errors (that I could spot).

Sounds - Main menu only
This is incredibly early in development and to expect proper sound and music in - what is effectively - a proof of concept is a little much. Perhaps in the event the game proves successful and more time and resources could be divided, with fitting background music to fit the scene and sound effects. But for now it should be considered very low on the list of priorities.
