VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Devin's Life [3-31-20] [Taboo]

this "game" can't even be called a game, MC is just stupid and you can't do anything about it, plus the fact that choices don't matter at all, the only thing you can do is watch MC get raped, blackmailed and humiliated all the time.

sorry - normally i dont give 1 star, because that would be the badest score possible.
But as hard as i might try i can't find anything to give some stars over here.
- The renders are horrible as fuck
- the MC is just a brainless douchebag female
- the whole content is just blackmail, corruption and rape (i dont mind having such content in a game, but over here it is just overdone)
- the story itself is so unreal, that it is starting to hurt you
- sometimes the choices dont seem to match the consequences at all

Horrible - just horrible - and a good example why there should be the possibility to give 0 stars, because even the basic 1 star seems to be too much

If you can get over the fact that the MC is extremely stupid, naive and super easy to blackmail, then this game is for you.
It has everything from good visuals, actual story, all kinds of humiliation scenarios (mainly school setting though), good amount of characters and hours, if not days worth of content.

This is a pretty underrated corruption game that deserves more fame.

Great game. More unique premise focusing on lesser seen fetishes. A pinch less action than some, but really great if you're into humiliation/domination/forced exhibitionism. Not for everyone, but for those that enjoy it, i think they'll really love it. 5 stars.

ok this "game" have gone from good cg and story but no game play. Now there is only clicking to forward story and you dont even get it all. The storry starts like 2 -3 hour into the old story. This have gone from ok to total crap. And yeah there is way to much tekst its a slow errotic novel - and a crappy one- at that.

It amazes me how the rating section can be so divided on the game.
The RPGMaker base was decent, if very linear - but the writing was reasonable and the characters' interactions fit the overall product.
The art was mediocre but worked for the RPGM environment, there was even a hint of gameplay (choice between cowboy and doctor) which showed potential and hinted at this being a videogame, not a poorly written "click to move on slideshow".

The RENPY remake however has no interactivity at all, the scenario actually got ridiculous - the writing's so far removed from reality that it doesn't even fit the RPGM base anymore and the art somehow got worse.
I thought the RPGM part showed promise, but the rework in RENPY shut any of that down.

Would not recommend to anyone.

game have a lot of scenes, easy way to play, without WALKTHROUGH (big thx for it)

This just isn't for me.

Basically, you're the MC who constantly gets manipulated into non-consensual sex. You're clueless. You constantly get raped.

So, basically, this is for you if you like a lot of Non-consensual content.

More problematic is that there's not really a lot of choices, so to call this a game is a bit of a stretch. It's mostly a NC kinetic visual novel.

I love how Devin is treated and so far the developer had very good ideas. Furthermore i hope it's getting more and more hardcore with every update.
This is the first game i saw with such extreme content.

This game was a really great RPGM with enormous potential....
The developpers chose to remake this game on Renpy...
This really disapointed me... There's no enough RPGM like this and this one could have been the one...
Anyway i really hate renpy games, on my opinion its just a book with some pics.
So i'm no more patreon of this developper saddly...

Devin's life the game where choices don't matter and everyone is going to treat you like just TNA look i get this is a sex game but i can't even choose any major choices this could be a passable game but my choices include if i can wear my teaching clothes or my bedclothes to watch tv and getting in trouble if i make the wrong choice because guys don't sit around in boxers to watch tv

The content is great. Interesting, but not too over the top. I also love that I don't have to do repetitive things or follow a walkthrough, to play.

One issue I had is the game crashing during the two longest scenes (my Windows says it's because I run out of memory...and sure, I only have 4GB of memory, but still). I saw that others had that issue as well. Hopefully, you won't add any more scenes that long, until you find a way to fix the issue.

Quite an unusual game about the school teacher and her adventures in the new city and new work. In some scenes, I was sorry for the main character and how she was humiliated.

The game has some decent scenes, but suspension of disbelief is impossible, because the main character is so dumb and the situations she gets herself in are often extremely unlikely (the massage class at school, or the "casino" scene, for instance). There are no meaningful choices yet, so the game consists of watching the MC get into increasingly implausible dilemmas with the resultant implausible (but generally "hot") h-scenes. You can't even feel sorry for the MC because she is so dumb.

The game does do a good job of making sure you know what to do next, so that's a plus. Map designs are also decent (though the school appears to have only three classrooms and maybe a dozen students). The models are pretty well-done (except Henry, who looks like a serial killer).

I'd argue that the game could be excellent if this is just the most corrupt plotline and the author planned to come back and add choices once he gets all the way through one plot line, but this would still not be believable. Pretty much every character is a sociopath, and the story doesn't explain why. Maybe aliens?

The game here based on Honey Select for her characters and animation have bright future because we have 10 updates in front of us. The story is great and have in future more option for path´s the route with Devine. One key for the 5 stars no one bug until now, great.

This "game" have good scenes, but it lacks anything else, better go watch porn or something.

"Gameplay" is just unnecessary running from point A to B to C then return home, there is no input from the player at all.
Oh wait, there are some "choice" boxes but i didnt notice any meaning to them, no idea why dev even put them in this game.
That Isnt a great thing, i saw a game or two that werent bad with this setting but...

... the story is a joke, mostly thanks to MC which is just a complete idiot (despite graduading some great uni oor something). Through the game she will make decisions, 80% of them are impossibly dumb and 20% more naive than a toddler.

This can be a long story, but I try to keep it short. I like that the Gamemaker use HS game for characters and animation.
Thats the best at moment in my tast and all animation mostly unlimted in time. The story the somebody steel a laguage and get betrayed by rental companly happens every das on this planet. This normal base make the perfect nothing more to say.

Great game so far. Can't wait to see what's coming up next. I don't know if you've already found it, but there is a 2d-rpg-creator that has released many charsets with all kinds of dresses and poses for 2d-rpg that maybe can be of interest to you. The name of the creator is humbird0. If you're interested, you can look for his website, go to Misc - RPG-maker and download it for free. Maybe there's is something that can inspire to something or maybe even be used somehow. Keep up the good work on Devin's Life, and thank you for making this game. I have had lots of fun playing it so far.

The art is so-so and the story has a bit of a linear and slightly rushed feel... but I'll be damned if this doesn't touch on so many of my fetishes and does a good job of capitalizing on them that I am perfectly fine with overlooking all of that. And for a version 0.3 there is more content than most people place in entire games.

If you like Combin Ations games (some of the scenes seem to have gotten inspiration from Agent Alona), or enjoy schoolgirls bullying naive teachers this is definitely something you've got to try out.

For now I eagerly await the next update.

To be ownest this small town has a clear overview, don´t need to run hours to find the right spot. All caracter are very good selected and the MC. Beside the school is the Old Castle, Old man House and the Beach perfect places for all kinds of event. In the Livingarea are still empty Houses where can a Massage House to teach the Students. Also a younger Sister of Devine can visit her later in the game. One of the best games starts here 2018.
