Apparently it's public but, just like the drive link above, Skooma didn't get around to putting it somewhere easy to find (for over 4 years). But just typing "discord" into the patreon search bar got me this pretty quickly.

That link is invalid. I was in the discord before but recently changed accounts and wanted to get back in but unfortunately can't find a valid link anywhere.

Sorry to hear that. I'm not part of the discord, so all I can grab is the most recently available link I can find on the Patreon. But honestly, I can't imagine it's particularly active or better than waiting for the monthly update.

Given that the discord is supposedly public, that should mean if you're still inclined that you can just ask Skooma for a link on one of the public posts on Patreon.

You know. I was turned off by the game under the premise of so many unfinished branches. But in this perspective I can see it very well. Haven't played it much, or bothered reading much of the forums beyond the complaints, but wonder if they allow for other writers to fill in the blanks? If its a creative writing platform, letting others take a whack at it may help finish filling out holes in certain areas, especially if its that writer's preferred subject

Anyone know how this game is supposed to work?

1. I am NOT complaining about it. Just confused.
2. I am sure someone will helpfully point out that it has been answered in a previous post (with 43 pages of posts I do not have the time to look)

I cannot understand the basic premise: Why so many red links ( This passage does not exist: )

I mean why bother making a list of links with a description and not have anything linked to it. If the link leads nowhere why is it there in the first place?

It leads me to belive that I am missing a folder or directory or other where the story paths do exist.

Is this the case?

Or is the user supposed to add their own text in which case does this update in the game?

Just politely asking.

The author just has ADHD and has 800 other incomplete paths to expand on before they can cycling back and working on those some more. You just have to randomly poke around until you find a path with content.

Public Release: DW a100 DM a44

I kinda wanted to call it "aFinal", but considering how things have been lately I thought that might be anxiety-inducing. But yes, I said long ago that when I hit alpha 100, I would finally declare Devious World to be in beta release. It would have been nice, for a bit of symbolism, to end 2024 with a100 and begin 2025 with b1, but it was not to be.

I went around a lot over the last month about what to say about recent events and eventually decided I don't want to say much. I said a little in the notes of a recent chapter of Kai's Story, and that's about as much as I want to get into it.

The two things I will say is, that I appreciate everyone's understanding, and that if anyone feels like doing something material I encourage them to donate to the

  • Main: Cyan has a new game available on her VR rig.

  • Main: Cyan can refuse the Goblin King's offer for Violet.

  • Main: Cass can go to the big box store to get snacks.

  • Main: Cass can also check out the new kids books or light novels at the library.
Devious Jamie
  • Main: Jamie can tell Kalli that loyalty is the most important part of a relationship.

  • Main: Jamie can now check out the game store on his VR rig.

  • Main: Jamie can use the leveling assistance bracelet to unlock his incubus or worldwalker bloodline.
Devious Eric
  • Main: Eric can now go see Akane or Shampoo when using the Tattoo of Allure.
Devious Mundanity
  • Main: Addi has a new option when visiting her manager.

Since tomorrow is February, and as those who have been around for a while may know I usually travel to see friends every year during the second half of February for my birthday, I'll let you know about the schedule for releases just as soon as I know what my plans are myself.

I wish skooma would stop constantly dreaming up new scenarios and just focus on one of the literally thousands of unfinished scenarios he already has.

Is the Male option still available? I haven't played in a while and I don't see it anymore when I tried to make a new character.

Game got split into multiple files due to engine limitations. Make sure you open the right file, as male and female routes are seperate, and a couple of characters were large enough they had to be split off to their own standalone files.
