Would be nice if more of these plot options were more fleshed out. I wound up having to give up on the entire "bad side of town" because it doesn't go very far before getting to a point where it's nothing but "this doesn't exist" text choices.

Better to add asterisks at forks that lead to finished content, that way he he as to add only 10 asterisks instead of a thousand, give or take.
I'd go even further and make notes of the primary fetishes found along each of the character paths. Make it a little easier to avoid things you just aren't into. It's pretty disappointing to be interested in the first few clicks and then find out the story is almost entirely about something that's of zero interest to you.

I get an error message "this story got messed up" on both html files and doesn't work.
That's on both the links here and the ones on Patreon.

Damn man I like the setups for so many of these stories. I think my favorite is Layla and Lilith. Shame I've got no damn clue when it's going to be worked on.
Honestly same. I started off with that but it honestly just felt so guided as so many choices, the ones i wanted, were blocked off so the best i could do was follow it down and get stuck. I wanted her to like me from the start and not have to go through hoops

Writing is pretty great, but like many point out the problem is all the deadends and no warning that they're coming, making it hard to get invested. I'm in the ´I'd rather one branch was done at a time than 5% of a quarter of them done once in a while´ camp. I think the game would lose its biggest flaw if the design philosophy was to add in completed content with each update (even if it's just a single branch) rather than a little of this and that which gives a screen or three before the big red wall hits again. We'd get something to look forwards to and we'd get the satisfaction of a conclusion to the storyline we're following, best of both worlds in my opinion. That said, I speak strictly for myself.

New release is available:
I just got a bit burned out on writing primarily porn.
(...)
for the next little while, expect the updates to be primarily story-focused
I have no clever jokes for this. The dead story threads write themselves.

This is the first time that I see the author of a porn game, on the patreon of their porn game, say that they will not focus on the porn in the porn game anymore.

Man, for "the biggest update", this was really, really disappointing. If I were a patreon of his, that would be the moment I would pull out.

There are a lot of good ideas and I wouldn't even mind less porn - but every path seems to be unfinished and going nowhere. Maybe just stick with one character for now. It must be hard to write for several characters at once anyway.

All the dead branches are annoying, I've not been able to find a branch that is more than 3-4 pages long.

There's a lot, yes, but if you really go through it, there's a ton that have a good amount of content, and some which are middling in length.

On a different note (this isn't directed at Iscay4312): Twine projects are surprisingly easy to decompile. If you don't want to figure out how, I can happily post Twine sources for Devious World, it took me maybe ten minutes to figure out, and now that I know how I can do it for any Twine project in three seconds flat. I think it'd be pretty straightforward to work on modding this; if people really wanted to, they could probably take a snapshot of a release and start a community-extended version on any generic software forge (Gitea, SourceHut, etc), instead of complaining about the slow pace of updates or the paths with low amounts of content. That said, while Skooma's writing is far from the best I've seen, I'm willing to bet it's better than what most people here would be capable of, so it'd have to be well-moderated at the least.

Hell, the only reason I don't is that while I'm more than okay with pirating stuff from here (I consider piracy an ethical imperative in the wake of e.g. the DMCA), I'm not comfortable with trying to work on someone else's project like that, without their consent or even knowledge.

Making content isn't the same thing as experiencing content, sadly, so I wager most of us lack the motivation to take matters into our own hands. That said, I'd be fairly happy if some fanwriter out there decided to work out the branches that lack content in an unofficial version with Skooma's blessing. Their own version of a similar format is fine too. As are cats.
