Did I choose right? (RPG MAKER VX Ace Lite)

Hey Heyy!! dunno if this is in the right section ;'4
I am going to make a rpgm and it seems lots of the rpg maker software's cost a bit of dough ££$$ So I downloaded RPG Maker VX Ace Lite on steam (only free one i saw).. Now did I choose the correct software?... also is it bad that I downloaded it on steam (hiding identity)
Did I take a wrong step? o.0

RPG Maker is very popular, it is a good way to get started, there are a few different versions so I don't know the details, But VX Ace i know is very common so I think you are safe.

RPG Maker's motto is "Simple enough for a child, powerful enough for a developer".

It's an engine that may look simple and limited to a beginner, but it is a really powerful tool.
However, VX Ace LITE has a limit of 50 events per map (and that's not the only limitation), wich makes it really hard to make a good game, so I recommend you buying the full version. You're not gonna regret it.

And no, it's not something bad that you downloaded it from Steam lol.
