Can't guaranty it for the game section, but while I can edit my threads (the OP only, obviously), I can't delete them. This need the intervention of a mod, and if they were asked to do this, I assume that they would have just transferred the ownership of the thread to someone else, instead of deleting it.If I was betting, I'd say that he deleted the thread himself, [...]
Apparently it was removed for bestiality content. The user/dev isn't banned, nor would we remove a game at a dev's request. Can't guaranty it for the game section, but while I can edit my threads (the OP only, obviously), I can't delete them. bas can you say more about the disappearance of the thread (https://f95zone.to/threads/20065/) ?
Thanks.Apparently it was removed for bestiality content. The user/dev isn't banned, nor would we remove a game at a dev's request.
I think I recall a post where he said something along the lines of "if he could get x amount he would release an update", which kinda gave the impression he was more interested in the short term gain, than the long term.Joshua Tree, totally agree with you that he has not made it easy for fans and supporters. I don't think that $10 for an update of a game is realistic. Unless your EA then this seems a bit much. As I said before, I think you would get 10 people willing to pay $1 before you would get 1 willing to pay $10.
Ok, this is unrelated to the discussed game, but wouldn't it be better just to close the thread with a banner notifying users about the reason why the thread got closed or banned?Apparently it was removed for bestiality content. Some forums do that but ultimately it's mostly a matter of the admin team's discretion. The way forums work generally the admin team has absolute power; it's not a democracy (usually). Those that attempt to be a democracy usually don't go well, or turn into a convoluted mess.Ok, this is unrelated to the discussed game, but wouldn't it be better just to close the thread with a banner notifying users about the reason why the thread got closed or banned?
Not really, since in this particular case it contained forbidden content, so it makes sense to be deleted. Locking it down instead does not rectify the issue of having forbidden content in the first place.Ok, this is unrelated to the discussed game, but wouldn't it be better just to close the thread with a banner notifying users about the reason why the thread got closed or banned?
I think he meant that when a thread is deleted, when trying to access the thread you get to a page where it says it has been deleted and the reason why is has been deleted so users know. Not really, since in this particular case it contained forbidden content, so it makes sense to be deleted. Locking it down instead does not rectify the issue of having forbidden content in the first place.
In other cases you can see threads getting locked down, where it makes more sense.

What I mean is, why not let the game's OP be accessible and on OP a fat yellow/red banner saying: Thread banned for bestiality content - against forum rules. Ofc no option to write or replay in the thread. Not really, since in this particular case it contained forbidden content, so it makes sense to be deleted. Ah, fair enough, I can see your angle. Well, you'd also need to remove any links to it so you'd essentially have an OP just mentioning that this game existed at some point. I suppose it's for consistency against earlier removals. What I mean is, why not let the game's OP be accessible and on OP a fat yellow/red banner saying: Thread banned for bestiality content - against forum rules. This way users would be notified and people no longer would start a new thread asking what happened to game thread xxx.
Just a suggestion for next year.
So bestiality is banned on the site too now? Since when is that a thing?Apparently it was removed for bestiality content.
