Discovering games through signatures

Do many other people actually discover games they wind up liking through clicking/searching up the games in peoples' signatures? I feel like half the games I've tried/played were through just randomly looking up/clicking on signatures that looked interesting and the other half was by filtered searches.

Similarly, do you add games to your signatures just because you like them or is it to spread awareness of games you like? I feel like historically I'd always just put stuff that was "cool" in my signatures rather than any sort of signal boosting, tho I haven't gotten around to actually deciding to update my profile on here much yet.

I definitely discovered some games trough the signature specially from other devs. But I think it's just like 5% maybe 10%. Most games I discovery on the "Latest Update" Page.

Well it depends, some people have signatures disabled so it doesn't really matter what you DO have in your signature. Though I don't think I've clicked any game besides my own to test if the link worked then disabled signatures again. :KEK:

I wondered about this as well, but I figured that putting games you like on your sig is a sign of supporting the creators. More support, means more updates.

For someone, who used to make some of these, yes. If you however have a niche towards a specific Genre, my tip to You would be to look at the Engine it uses.
