I'd made a cat ears mod for an old Illusion game (I think AA2) that I'd called Nekomimi - "Cat Ears" in Japanese.
I got DMCA'd by some company that made an anime character named Nekomimi years after I'd done that.

They literally trademarked a common Japanese description.
gone guess that was a big headache for you...

i'm not insulting anyone here! chill...
i'm just making 1 observation/stating a fact....and in my personal opinion it's not very original using the same art since everyone is doing the same thing.
It's called "giving feedback"....but if he finds inspersion on it and he can move the project foward by all means continue (that's the most important thing in the end).

You can DMCA anything. People use youtube to DMCA claim shit that they don't even own and try to steal money from the actual owners.
It doesn't mean it'll hold up in court. Especially from a foreign country.
