Just my internal mullings. But to be frank, I wish people would learn to be more tolerant and patient in some respects and/or capacity. Assuming one were to be dissatisfied with the rate of progress in a game, cease your subscription on Patreon (assuming one was providing monetary support in some form) and check out other games in the meantime.
Preserve your peace of mind by refraining from starting pointless arguments and letting them drag on in perpetuity. It is an inevitable reality that people will always have conflicting viewpoints on even mundane things, as that can be the very essence/nature of humanity at our core. But that does not also mean that two wrongs make a right.
It's the internet, akin to that of the wild-west so to speak. As such, you cannot expect that level of maturity or tolerance courteously from folks all the time. But I choose to not dwell on things unnecessarily and make mountains out of molehills just to prove someone is wrong or to get the last word in. One would just have to ask yourself at the end of the day if it's indeed worth it or not. Or if one's time can be best spent elsewhere rather than complaining and arguing for the sake of it just to contentiously prove one's point.
In summation: Just check out progress, decline to watch the game if progress is not to your liking, and no one is forcing anyone to stay. Preserve one's peace of mind by not dabbling/dwelling too much on matters that are outside of one's locus of control. You will feel more elated and content in the process of doing so.
