You need bottle of juice (after creature kills himself, go back to swamp and pick the bottle next to corpse and fill it with juice).
You will also need tinderbox to light the bottle. You need to throw the bottle at the hive when insects are in front of it. Otherwise, you will be killed by insects after burning the hive.

I know the Dev had said this update would be lighter in the H scene department in favour of a greater story development, but I'm not sure that there was really all that much progression. There weren't any major revelations about the island or the plot.

Honestly kind of feels like the Dev was stalling for time on this one while he tinkered with technical shit. This was the equivalent of an anime filler episode from the 90s.

Day 6 was good. The writing was great and the length wasn't as disappointingly short as the previous update. There was actual progress with the story and some interesting scenes, like with the juice fellow. I don't know how you can say it was very short unless you skipped over literally everything other than the sex scene.

I wouldn’t say it was short, but I don’t know that the story progressed all that much. We saw some creepy stuff in the wilderness, but it had already established there were monsters on the island and that people were going mad.
