This might come a bit sudden, but unfortunately, I have to go on a longer break.
These last weeks have been very very busy for me and time and health didn’t allow me to work on Divine Caprice much. I did make progress, but because of several reworks I had to do for this update, it’s not in a state I can or want to release it in.
Basically since working on Princess of the Ring 2 I have been powering through to get updates out pretty much each month, while working my job, and it’s taking its toll on me. For quite some time now I’ve been in dire need of a long break, and I can feel the signs of a burn-out. Starting on Divine Caprice has given me a lot of good motivation to push on, but it didn’t change the amount of time I spend on Game-Development, and in these last few weeks I really felt that.
If I want to continue working on games without sacrificing my health, I have to change things around a bit. And the first thing I need to do is take a long break to recharge my health and mental state. How long? I’m thinking at least 6 months.
I’ll stay around this blog to comment, but otherwise I’m going to disappear.
I’ll pause/shut down SubscribeStar on 31.12.25.
I’ll make the latest Demo for Divine Caprice publically available in January.
I am very sorry I wasn’t able to release a Demo this month, even though I said I was going to. But at the moment I have to prioritize my health, I hope you’ll understand.
