Just curious but what VPN do you use to have full access to dlsite?Nothing a vpn won't fix but it's a shame we have to use it to begin with, I liked just being able to browse DLsite without one. I hope this bullshit ends one day but Visa and Mastercard seem intent on strong arming censorship into whatever they deem needs it, they should not have that much influence. If DLsite can add a region change function like Pixiv has, then I don't think it'd that much of a problem.
Mullvad VPN, I think it's like $60-ish dollars a year or around $5-6 a month (or crypto) and they have a great reputation with the community as far as I'm aware of. Proton works too.Just curious but what VPN do you use to have full access to dlsite?
Puts the Care Bears in a new light, doesn't it?Gangbang becomes 'Sharing is caring'.
Could have at least changed rape to 'Struggle Snuggle'.![]()
No, DLSite isn't a very good market to sell your game in, at least not for western devs. Steam is the current place where all devs aim to be in.While there stuff like vpn and pirate site like this one that keep me from worrying too much about it, it does make me nervous that this will eventally discorage a lot of adult game devs from even making these type of games.
The irony is that their leaders are probably not that puritanical.I'm not even big on loli stuff, but it's super fucked that western credit card companies headed by puritanical assholes can just impose themselves on entire distribution chains. It's particularly bad when you realize that these companies are supported by religious nutjobs who think porn should be outlawed and people jailed over looking at stuff that is vanilla.
Of course, it's all projection in the end. I bet if you looked at these weirdos' hard drives, you'd find more than just harmless drawings. No one who isn't trying to overcompensate for perceived wrongs pressures others like this.
It's not about safety. It's much more easy to blame fiction for real crime, than deal with real sexual abuse. It's same think as people say violence in videogames make your kid mass murderer, yet there was no connection between violences in games and real crime according to studies. Because who cares some kids was bullied, have mental problem, bad relationship with parents etc. IT'S FAULT OF VIDEOGAME, BECAUSE HE PLAY GTA!And in case anyone is wondering, the male equivalent tag was never changed nor removed, because who tf cares about the "safety" of men and boys amirite?
I've never bought into the whole "loli" means you like kids. It's so different and removed from reality that's like saying girls with werewolf fantasies want to hurt dogs. Do they have overlap? Sure, but I highly doubt everyone busting a nut to some loli doujin is a danger to the public. But hey reactionary puritans will always be some of the lowest IQ people in the room. Hell, it's probably because they have those evil thoughts and assume everyone else does that, they even get so mad. It's not about safety. It's much more easy to blame fiction for real crime, than deal with real sexual abuse. Same work on sexual content. If someone like loli/shota doesn't mean they are pedophiles, same as if someone like rape, doesn't mean they are rapist. It's sexual fantasies, but yeah i get some who like this content might be potentional rapist or pedophile, but this can apply for every fictional content such as games with violence.
Shits stupid, credit card companies are just vultures that should be illegal anyway. This was trending on X(Twitter), and I wanted to know your guys' thoughts about this personally.
