Do the questionable games i play in vr show up on my steam?

Say i downloaded FarmD from here and play it using the Index/Steam VR, would that show anywhere what im playing?

1. Hide Played Steam Games
When someone visits your profile, they can see which games you’ve played and for how many hours. Now, if you don’t want your gamer friends to discover your guilty pleasures, you can hide your played games from your profile.

1. Launch Steam.
2. Hover the cursor over your username and select View my profile.
3. Click the Edit Profile button.
4. Select Privacy settings.
5. Next to Game details, click Public and set it to Friends Only or Private if you don’t want anyone to see your list of played games. Steam will auto-save your new profile settings.

Nono, i dont mean this one. If i launch SteamVR, and launch FarmD downloaded from here, not steam (Or any other questionable game), will that show up in the steam rich presence thing/my friends tab, because its technically running trough steamvr

There is always a possibility. Even if the answer is "NO" today, that could change tomorrow depending upon Steam decisions for creating a "community."

It is much more likely should the game downloaded have Steam API and Localization code within its application. Simply downloading it from another source doesn't mean this API is removed.

What the first reply says for you to do is a good choice if you decide to play games downloaded from here - make all your game details private.

The best choice is not to use SteamVR to launch games you don't want others to know you are playing.

If you fear that your friend can identify you, it mean that you've an account. And if you've an account, it mean that there's preferences that you can edit.
I'm pretty sure that here too there's a privacy setting tab, and that you can decide what is shown to who...
