Do you consume any adult VR content?

Just a simple poll. Do you like VR? Never heard about it? Do you have any VR device? Planning to get one?

As for me, I have an Oculus Go device and I am watching some Japanese porn sometimes. Also, I can play some simple things like VR Kanojo, but it is not easy to connect Go to PC.

To be honest, I don't have any particular reason why I haven't tried it.
There has been plenty of time for me to try it, but I guess I've just never considered it a high enough priority to actually go out of my way to try it.

I'm not impressed with what I've seen of VR so far. I think eventually it will be the go to standard for most entertainment media but right now it's purely a gimmick. The quality is not there yet and from what I've heard they haven't found a good solution for the motion sickness issue that a lot of people have when using it.

I never tried, but I heard that Oculus Quest 2 has a very high-resolution screen. Unlike other devices, you can't see pixels in it.

The quality is not there yet and from what I've heard they haven't found a good solution for the motion sickness

Yeah, but it is just a poor direction. If the filmmaker is stupid and moving the camera during filming, of course, it will cause motion sickness. But if the camera is still, then you are not going to feel anything (unless you are moving).

Vr porn is pretty darn good... but
Those that make it are pretty crap at it mostly. Wonky scenes, tilted camera angles, fringeshots that gets distortet, reversed audio, and really really crappy interactions with the camera (both verbal and physical)

Very few scenes are worth watching, and most of them are eastern european trying to be english speaking.. and thats a HUGE bummer. Nothing sounds worse than broken grammer and nonsensical sentences because they want to sell to the english speaking market. It would be better in their native langauge with subtitles. Its worse than engrish in porn games almost.

But the few gems in between makes it very worthwhile.

I heard that Russian language sounds harsh and rude to people from US. Do you really want to heard a porn actress speaking like a Russian mafia member?

I voted No, I do have a VR device but it's Playstation VR so not really much porn potential there (that I'm aware of at least, DOAX3 feels like the closest you can get and that already had some features removed from the VR side).

I would love to get a PC based one for games though. I would've already owned an Oculus for the inside-out tracking but no way do I want Facebook anywhere near it.

Not really interested in porn movies, just the porn games.

While definitely not the cheapest options out there, I've heard that HP Reverbs are absolutely incredible for the price. I've personally got an OG Vive and have been using it from the very early days of VR, and while it's certainly not bad, it's far from great with the wands not being all that good and the screen door effect being quite noticeable.

Thats excatly what they sound like trying to speak english. The very essence of a horrible, yet comicly bad russian gangster accent.
Im not american, so its not because i find it harsh or rude at all, just distracting and annoying. I dont have the same problem with watching spanish/portuguise videos, or japanese. The problem is the butchering of the words and sentences. They get half the words wrong, or the sentence structures, and it distracts constantly because you spend time on figuring out what is going on. If they kept to their native language that wouldnt be an issue.
It is so bad, that Im at a stage where I actively choose to not even bother getting anything from producers who do this.

Vr is not s gimmick. People that think that probably never tried it. Be it the rift 1 or 2 or the more expensive index - the screen door effect is gone and quality is good enough to even watch movies with. Games like boneworks and half life 3 are such an experience that it is worth it to get vr just for those.

And motion sickness is very minimal. Some people have it at the start while others don't. But everyone gets over it after a week or two play time.

Yeah, if you look at the Steam Discussions page for HL:Alyx, you'll see a lot of people who are angry that the game is VR only, insisting that it is only a gimmick despite never having actually played with VR.

I personally don't notice the screen door effect on my Vive unless I'm actively looking for it, and I don't have nor ever had any motion sickness in VR, though I know that some people do actually see the screen door, and others do get sick.

Newer headsets like the Index should take care of both, issues though, having better optics and higher refresh rate screens.

It is probably because VR is relatively good for porn (if it is filmed right).
As for ordinary games, I think there are a lot more VR skeptics, must be 50% at least.

I think the initial problems still hold some ppl back, and the reason many say its just a gimmick, is that the rocky start was pretty bad. But VR has evolved well since then, and its become better than expected. And it will become even better still.
I think that its inevitable that this becomes a default option in most media. Its not entirely there yet.. but its way past the gimmick point.
