There are many players interested in the kink itself, though personally I'm not, but it won't prevent me from trying since they are just games (and if you search for gay content, you'll end up with a majority of them).
There are 2 problems with them for me :
The first one is : the MC is forced by other characters, circustances or the plot itself with all kinks related to hurt him and make him suffer (domination, bdsm, chastity, humiliation, CBT, SPH, spanking...). It's way better if it comes from the MC (he is interested in it himself) and is then in charge of the process and evolution.
The second one is : making the player think he has a choice between staying a man and starting the feminization. It's usually a false choice since, as a man, the game is redundant with reduced possibilities. And, even if the choice is genuine at the start, the dev is usually going through the feminization path first and forget/change his mind/abandon the game before including it.
As for gay content, not verybody is interested in it. There are also those that prefer sissifying others rather than being sissified.
I would love to see a gayification game one day. Sorry, that had nothing to do with the question though it's related.
To conclude, be careful and very clear about what you want to make and include. Otherwise, people will come to ask some explainations if they are nice or complain if they are jerks.
