Outside of the above outright bugs, the biggest issue this game has is a lack of feedback and player help:
  • Nothing explains how to use the various examination tools, nor, when you fail to use a tool whether it is because you used it in the wrong place or if it doesn't apply to this patient at all
  • Nothing explains how you are supposed to reduce the amount of stress various actions cause to that you can get further with patients. My initial assumption was that you could gain the patients' trust with successful examinations, then convince them to go farther in future visits, but the only thing that seems to actually work is stuffing them with chocolate
    • And the only reason I know what chocolate does is because someone here mentioned it; there's no in-game explanation or even feedback when you use it
  • Some exams have seperate stress bars for the patient and a parent, but nothing tells me what actions will affect one more or less than the other
  • When you've used up all your actions, trying to do something other than end the month just fails with no feedback. No 'you're out of action points!' message, nor are the things you can't do greyed out
  • The modelling minigame gives no feedback on what your goals or win condition actually are
    • It is also, AFAICT, literally impossible to get ahead in; the other girl starts with 50 times your stats and gains more stats per training action

I get an error with v.1.17 on launching the exe file. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)."

v.1.15 is unplayable as I have lower resolution than 1080p (768p).

This is an "access violation" error. This could be caused by corrupted game files when downloading or interactions with a rogue antivirus software. I had another person test out the 1.17 build before releasing it, and they didn't seem to have this issue - so I think it's probably something on your machine. I would recommend checking the software on VirusTotal (should be standard procedure when downloading 3rd party software as far as I'm concerned), disabling your AV, and trying to launch the game. If that doesn't work, I would redownload the game - maybe some files were corrupted.

Edit: Also, if the resolution in 1.15 didn't work, don't waste your time trying 1.17 because the resolution isn't fixed yet. I will be releasing the update 1.18 fixing the resolution by the end of this month!

I've had the same issue with another game and it's nothing from the things that you said. You forgot that you changed unity engine versions from 2022.3.32f1 to 6000.0.34f1 and I have Windows 7... So either you revert back to older Unity version that still supports W7/8 or I won't be able to play on my current system. :(

How to fix this game? I always end up at a point where nothing appears on the calendar anymore and I can't continue.

What version do you have? I think that issue was fixed a long time ago. The current version has no problems. You can get it from the itch.io page. I just use the patrion link and the top post there has an itch.io link. you can get the 1.17 ver there. But the game does eventually run out of content at this stage. Once you examine and drug everybody to add to your basement, it's just the same repeated exams.

It doesnt make sense either
In Imperial Gatekeeper you force characters to.. interact with you. And they have different reactions for that
Here they are just dolls
Lack of graphics and animations can be compensated with some dialogs, story etc.
I mean, some people can fap on just text
But this one lacks in every possible option

This is fixed now! The resolution should be changeable in the latest update. As for the upgrade to Unity 6000, I changed because even the LTS version for Unity 2022.3 is becoming unsupported in 2025. Unfortunately for Windows 7 users, I think my builds won't work anymore like Soobaroo said.

Update your goddamn Computer! Running Windows 7 in 2025 is WAY beyond stupid. You're BEGGING to have everything stolen from your computer. There are literally websites online that list every unpatched security vulnerability in Win 7.
Yes, Win 11 is disgusting, but there are other options that don't make your PC a wide open door for anyone who wants to enter.

I won't go higher than Windows 10, Win11 has too much built-in spyware.

Thanks for your concern. Years ago there was an option to upgrade to W10, but at the time W7 was still more appealing to me so I stayed. I haven't observed anything weird on my computer besides my HDD experiencing old age issues (bad sectors going up every so often). I tend to be cautious online, have an up-to-date AV software and a sandbox, and a fairly well protected local network that I use. Besides, I don't have very sensitive data stored on this machine.

Unless MS stops being a prick with forcing conscious users to their shenanigans, I won't go past W10 in the future, switching to a Linux and using virtual machines on it to run Windows if I can't get around potential issues with Wine.
