Does anyone actually like having music in their adult games?

I always crank the music really low, but I do enjoy the music, even the generic 10 songs which come standard with 2/3rds of games. That said, its more like background noise in which I barely notice.

I've tried running spotify in the background, but that distracts me. There are also some games which only have one or two songs, and those songs suck. Take A House In the Rift for an example, the majority of the game plays one song, and that song only has 4/5 notes and becomes annoying real quick.

I enjoy music a lot of times when it's in a platformer or a brawler or such. Those games tend to have much more involved development, and so the devs usually put in fitting music.

For VNs and RPG Maker stuff I usually turn the music, voices, and sound effects off. Hearing the same five Kevin MacLeod or Enterbrain tracks over and over again detracts a lot from the game experience. Either that or it's some even worse copyright free porn groove music. Not to mention the single "pap" skin on skin sound effects, or the god awful voice acting they may have.

I think the only case where I kept the music is Being a Dik. Something about the soundtrack there just works for me, but the others I mute, more often than not.
