If I'm given the opportunity to rename the protagonist, I usually just name them something ridiculous like "Skungalor" out of amusement.

I never felt the need to project myself onto an MC.

I NEVER relate to, self-insert or indentify with an MC or any other character in a porn game in any way, shape or form. I consider the game to take place in a parallel universe where I never existed. If a porn game accidentally had an MC with my real life name, I wouldn't download it.

Interesting, I get the sentiment though. When I first started playing games where you name the MC I put my name at first because that's the intention they had but then I would feel weird whenever I would read them saying my name so I started naming them something else and then I started doing doing the Wingman thing.

I usually name my MC's Manwhore. That was the old pet name one my my exes had for me and it's also far removed from my vanilla name and thus, "Real life" as a whole.
